fussy about my roast dinners.these were almost as good as mine.9/10.bought family on another occasion they were very impressed too

Loved the food fresh not overcooked vegetables accompanying a very nice, home made Steak and ale pie. Filling, satisfying and great value.Have real ale on tap and well kept.

What can we say, the food is very good and plentiful, cooked to a high standard. The staff and owners are very friendly and welcoming. The pub is a homely place and definitely worth a visit. Looking forward to our next visit.

My wife and I popped into this pub knowing it had changed hands, we had a meal starting with the Deep fried Brie, very nice, followed by the Rump Steak, wow! this was cooked to how my Wife and I asked for it and was probably the best cooked steak I have ever had, we will return again very soon too, if that is the standard of meals then I recommend to anyone this is the pub to go to.ASN

My work colleague and I had a meeting in the stunning beer garden at this pub and we were blown away by the amazing service and selection of beers. The bar staff could tell we had not been to the pub before so went out of their way to ensure we felt welcome. We noticed that the pub had a wide selection of snacks so we had some peanuts. My word the quality of these peanuts is mind blowing.

This is a proper pub. Went to watch a friend sing otherwise would not have visited, however, very glad I did! Clearly a locals pub, and what friendly locals they were! Had a fabulous night, owners were great hosts. Eclectic decor which only adds to the charm. Food looked great, roper pub food and will definately try it on our next visit. Wasn't expecting much from the ladies loo, but it was immaculate! Great pub, great fun.

Loved the food great atmosphere very friendly including the locals, had a great time drink was very good and food very cheap and very well cooked. If in the area you must visit this pub! not far from the Godalming hotel we only stayed for two nights, wish we could have stayed longer and would have gone in this pub again, cant wait to go back and visit, this pub is a must. highly recommend the carling or 2,3!.a big cheers to Neil Simon all the locals had a great laugh, felt more at home than in our own local pub.

So,, my internet was down no sport,,saw that the leathern bottle had BT sport. booked a table for 2 for Sunday, food and sport wife in tow. motogp starting soon,,to the bar pint of very cold cider, hmmm lovely. to my table facing my very own wall mounted T.V.. magnificent, wife arrives small wine soda sorted... order food starter white bait for me nothing for the wife. starter arrives and is fit for 4 people,, marvellous, what a treat crisp fresh fish,,cider, TV heaven. mains lamb shank and a beef roast,,seriously seriously if you’re hungry give it a try. in this comfy warm and welcoming friendly pub.. if you have room for pud try the cheese cake wife said it’s delightful..go !

Arrived in Godalming seriously jetlagged and just wanting a quick inexpensive meal before heading to bed. Our landlord suggested we walk the 50 metre to the Leathern Bottle as he said other customers had been very pleased with it. We arrived early up there for dinner, and were able to sit quietly enjoying the old world atmosphere and the friendly banter between the local regulars whilst reading today's papers also supplied) and drinking a cider. We ordered early, and within 10 minutes of the kitchen opening, our food was on the table: the best homemade tomato soup we've had in ages.
