"The last time I went to Koh Thai my table was booked for 630 and my food didn’t arrive until 915. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they were short staffed , because usually the food and service is A* But now I’ve booked a table for my brothers 50th weeks ago and they have just cancelled us given us only six days notice for a table of 12 people and now we cannot find anywhere else that can accommodate us in such a short period of time When I called to discuss this, the lady on the phone was not very apologetic and clearly could’ve cared less. Very disappointed. Koh Thai has gone down in my estimation"

"We stayed for 2 nights bed and breakfast. We ate here the first night and the three courses we had were delicious and well executed and very quick service. The house coctails were well made and delicious. We received a very warm welcome from the whole team and they were super dog friendly. We found the pub to have a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The room was spacious and warm, and had great facilities. We could not fault our stay here. Highly recommended! Thank you."

"My mate and I met at the pub for a quiet lunchtime beer and chat..it was great to see him as we had not seen each other for years and need to catch up on news... All we got was pressure and hassle from the...staff. We had our beers..two minutes later one staff member arrived asking if we needed more drinks??..No thank you...Two minutes later another staff member arrived..You gents ok??..Can I get you more drinks??....Our beer was barely touched..No thank you we are fine.. Two minutes later another staff member arrived ...Can I get you more drinks?? Then a young man arrived..Are you gents dining with us??.. we had not planned to eat, just have a beer .. Do you have sandwiches??...No we don't was the answer. Five minutes later another question if we had ordered food??.. Different staff member arrived time after time, every few minutes to ask if we needed more drinks or if we were ordering food... We ordered food we didn't want...It was nothing special..Usual pub food that is quickly forgettable..Not great food..mediocre. Only then did the hassle stop and we were left alone to have a chat. I know there is not much profit in beer...Pubs make their money on food. But the restaurant area was not busy...We were not sat in the restaurant dining area..The table was not made up with cutlery ready for diners..No further customers were sat in our area...The table was NOT required for diners. IT IS A PUB!!...People to go pubs to drink beer and spirits, read a book, chat to other folk, play cards, read a newspaper...It a place of social gathering. All we got was hassle and pressure. I do not often write reviews..Far less write a poor report..I much prefer to give praise and say things were excellent. We shall NOT return.. Incidentally, I do know and like good food..The previous evening I dined in a pub where the chef was a past winner of the TV programme MasterChef ...However, this pub food was mediocre..."

"We LOVED this charming little cafe on the front with views of the boats in the harbour and out to sea. Well worth the short walk away from the high street (and introduces you to a quirky little cobbled shopping area it would be a shame to miss). There were several vegan options on the brunch lunch menu and a good selection of vegan cakes as well. All drinks had vegan options. We had avocado and hummus on sourdough toast, granola with fresh fruit, coffees and a coconut babyccino. All delicious. Disappointed that there was no alternative yoghurt for the granola vegan option. The cafe is quite small and there were a couple of high chairs in there but not a great deal of space for pram parking or multiple kids. Fortunately our LO was o a great mood so we had a lovely time but I'd be careful about taking him there again. Highly recommend for a kid-free vegan brunch. No toilets."

"This was wonderful. There is no doubt I was satisfied. Food was great , service great, good experience all round. However, and I am bringing out the inner critic in me here, there are some bits worth mentioning. This was a lot of money; £150pp. So, for that, you expect a lot. The food was undoubtedly very nice and well considered. The flavours were wonderful. The presentation interesting (albeit a little style over substance at some points why butter is served on a stone I don’t know). We had the five courses with wine. And I couldn’t fault the flavour of either. So now comes to the ‘but’: 1. For that price, it would have been nice for the chef to have shown their face at some point during the proceedings. 2. The pace between course was slightly faster than I would have liked but that is a personal preference. 3. Not enough butter for the bread. 4. It is a small and close environment, with no soft furnishings, so the sound echoed a little. That would be fine (as it was small) but we had a drunk and rowdy table near by and fun as that is it was loud for us. 5. I wanted more story; where did the food come from, who was the chef, why here and now. Notwithstanding that all picky and un necessary excellent food/ excellent experience/ excellent evening.
