You can find a good pizza or pasta in La Piazza Grande. Also, you will find a nice people workting there. The very good appetizers and drink.

we were very disappointed! even if there was a free table outside the waiter ignored us one because and then another couple that came after us got the table first. very unfriendly!

was the first time at this place and was a beautiful surprise. waiter very precise and friendly. meat very well cooked and served. price reasonable for zürich and the high quality of the meat.

high quality meat, perfectly seared steaks, nice condiments and sides. the price is fairly high for a steak though. nice wines and spirits, good location. especially fun in summer when you can sit outside and people-watch. chairs could be more comfortable.

My wife and I decided to have a simple pizza dinner here. We shared one order of Pizza Della Casa with marinated strips of veal. The pizza was well cooked and delicious. Service was slow and hectic due to lack of manpower and a large dinner crowd. The Italian waiter was doing his very best to cope and was most apologetic throughout. We had Chardonnay by the glass at CHF 6. Enjoyable meal.

My wife and I were looking for a quick, light meal after a long drive. We shared a bruschetta and a pizza, and later a warm chocolate cake with ice cream. All of the food was great and the waiter was very friendly and helpful. The waiter was Italian and recommended a nice Italian wine. Very friendly, service-oriented restaurant with very good food. We would definitely recommend the La Piazza Grande.

Actually Italian restaurant with focus on pizza. First I wanted to try they tapas - it was just bruschetta, sausage and prawns. Sausage was so intense, that everything else got lost in their taste. Second dish was ravioli with mushrooms - this time delicious. I ordered also some wine - glas of chardonnay was expensive and absolutely cheap taste wine. Red one had already average quality, but generally they go for high prices with cheap products.

What restaurant in this day and age refuses to serve tap water?? This one... Felt like the entire experience at this restaurant was a money grab. Zurich is expensive, we all know that but I have been to many countries around the globe and high...end restaurants and this one was just a bit too over the top. Food was good not phenomenal and I would say the prices could be justified but the experience did not warrant it and that's where they failed. Wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't eat there again.

we had only one evening in zürich and wanted to visit the old town after the discussion with our hotel concierge was the recommended. despite the non-reservation, we were welcomed with a warm welcome and given a pleasant exterior. everyone was taken up, so we were happy. we were even happier that there was a jazz band that just played on the square, so we had a love entertainment during dinner. steak was excellent as the accompanying meals. only reason for a 4 rating was the service of drinks on the slow side and, even after zürich standards, the prices were very high. that said we would definitely go back.
