"This is the best Chinese meal I have had in a long time. We ordered the set meal for two and everything was delicious. We received two portions of chicken and sweetcorn soup, prawn toasts, spring rolls, chicken wings, and prawn crackers. In addition, we could choose any two main dishes with either rice or chips, all of this for only £26! The value was amazing and everything was cooked perfectly and served hot. Last week we also tried their fish and chips, which was also great. The fish was large and the chips were authentic chippy chips. The only downside was the gravy, as it was not traditional chippy gravy and we didn't enjoy it. However, everything else was fantastic."

Been to king st chippy for my lunch today. Was given the smallest potion of chips i have ever had in any chip shop.???

Love this chippy the chips are always fresh.i am gluten and dairy free and chips fried on their own.so happy to have chippy.the lady is always so friendly xxx

This little chippy is the best around and the fish is not over battered either !!!It does get really busy and you fish will be cooked for you while you wait .......absolutely great.Would definitely recommed.......but don't tell everyone !!!!!!

Get a takeaway most Fridays when in work and got to say its the best Fish and Chips I have had in a long while. It is always freshly cooked and tastes delicious. The staff are always brilliant. The cod goujons are excellent value and the mince and onion and cheese and onion home made pie is brilliant

Doesn't matter where I go I can't find a better chippy than king street chippy. Fresh fish and chips made to order (so please don't complain there may be a wait) with a light fluffy batter on the fish! You actually get a huge amount of fish not like most chippys that are mostly batter! Making me hungry just writing this review haha.

In our opinion, this is the best fish and chip shop in Heywood and possibly the best in Rochdale. The food is consistently fresh and cooked to perfection, and the staff at the counter are very friendly. We visited on a particularly hot evening on June 16th, 2023, and even though the staff member serving us was feeling the heat, she still greeted us with a kind word and a lovely smile. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

This is THE best chippy in Heywood, possibly even the world! I travel a 5 mile round trip its that good. My favorites are the freshly made home made cheese and onion or mince and onion pies which are superb, the fish is also excellent with nice crispy batter, and mushy peas that taste like they used to do. The shop is bright, fresh and clean, and nice little touches like the fish served separately in a cardboard container which keeps it hot and crispy. I wished they had a sit in part cos I would be there every day. Can't believe two people gave it a bum review probably the owners of the other chippy down the road ha ha. Denis Robinson
