"This place should be closed down. Evidently run by complete morons with no experience in how to run a good restaurant. We were sleazed over by over friendly male members of staff, who quickly scuttled off when we disputed our bill and brought out a...woman with a hideous attitude to threaten us. The problem.. Well being a lacto-ovo vegetarian (the most common type of veggie, no animal body parts, but I have eggs and milk) I do not eat Parmesan cheese as it contains rennet. I ordered a goats cheese dish. Goats cheese is suitable for vegetarians. The garnish listed on the menu did not include any foods that I do not eat, otherwise I would've simply asked for these ingredients to be omitted. When the dish arrives for some bizarre reason they'd sprinkled it with Parmesan! I'm not in the food industry myself, but even a simpleton would never put Parmesan with goats cheese anyway!! I very politely explained that I'd be unable to eat this dish and requested a fresh one be made. They accepted, and in no time at all I was presented with a new' one. Hmm, this way far too fast.. On closer inspection they'd just scraped it off as there were still bit left on the plate! I was rather cross by now, and just told them to take the dish away and not bother with a new one, very clearly, and in their language too. Well, 15 minutes later they presented me with a new one! I declined and reminded them I had said no and just told them to ensure it wouldn't be added to the bill. The bill came, I pointed out their mistake, then we were confronted with the mouthy woman. She began shouting at us telling us that we were being unladylike' by refusing to pay (for that one dish, we were more than happy to pay for the food and drink that was consumed and never once suggested we wouldn't). She then started being extremely rude saying that vegetarians in Germany eat food with animal ingredients in, and just made out I was being difficult. I said a quick google search would confirm that I was correct in what I was saying about some cheeses being suitable and unsuitable, and after 22 years of being vegetarian I didn't need a gobby stranger to dispute what I know to be correct about MY choice. Blimey! We said we'd pay for what we had, and for that to be the end of this daft charade, to which she said she'd need to call the police! We were happy for her to go ahead with this action as she and the restaurant were entirely in the wrong, plus it'd have been quite amusing for her to have brought such attention to her workplace. In the end she realised that we weren't backing down to her ludicrous demands and agreed to charge us for what we had. She was shouting at us like a mad fishwife as we left the restaurant. I felt quite sorry for her. Yes this review is a huge rant, but really do avoid this place. Imagine if you had a nut allergy and they decided to garnish your ice cream with them, you say you can't eat it due to the allergy, they scrape them off (which us sensible people know isn't the right action) and then you end up with anaphylaxis and die! That is how negligent these clowns are. We found the whole incident rather funny, but their bullying behaviour could really put a dampener on your trip if you are with a sensitive soul. Not worth the hassle, wish I'd just had the crisps from the hotel minibar instead."
