"Whatever happened to the K-Wok of old? It used to be our go to place when we passed through Biggar. Not any more and if the local people are to be believed it’s since new owners took over a while back.Where to start? We walked into the shop and a very happy staff member took our order of a chicken curry and rice and a side of chips to share. Paid for them and waited for them knowing they’d be good. Girl on the counter checked with the kitchen and was told my order would be ready in 20 minutes. We went for a stroll and came back 20 minutes or so later but we couldn’t get near the shop for phone order customers waiting for their food. One lady I spoke to was told to come to the shop in 45 mins which she did only to find her order wasn’t ready for her. It eventually arrived in 90 minutes! This was the view of the crowd of 8 of us waiting outsideAnother customer who used to get his food delivered now collects his order from the shop by walking into the shop with no pre order and that way KWok chefs (if there’s more than one) cook his food in 15-20 minutes. My order finally arrived in 55 minutes which was wholly unacceptable and so we won’t be using the shop again for that reason. No harm to the lady on the counter. She asked the kitchen for updates and nobody in the kitchen would tell her what was happening. The manager refused to come out front when I asked for her saying she was too busy for customers.To sum up since the change of ownership this place has taken a nose dive. There used to be a happy, jovial atmosphere and banter from the staff and customers. That’s all gone now. The once beautiful curry sauce has been replaced by gloopy tasteless mess and the rice has been changed to some cheap brand which makes it taste awful.We’ll never be back to this place whilst the present people run it. It’s cash only as well which we found odd in this day and age. Best thing about the place? The lady on the front counter that attempted to keep everyone happy.Staff 10/10Food 2/10Timing 1/10Managements attitude to customers and staff 0/10"

Lovely customer service, wee young woman at desk was very helpful and polite, lovely food and quick preparation time. Highly recommend.

Used k-wok for years now and never had a bad meal however was a little concerned as had quite a few family round so a larger order and I know some people get used to their own local Chinese but all the family enjoyed their meal and didn’t have a bad word to say. Was nice to try some other dishes too other than just our usual

This is our go to place if we fancy a takeaway for a treat. Salt and chilli ribs for starter are always superb. For mains we enjoy their sezchuan char Sui with noodles, but frankly the portions are too big. Mostly now we opt for noodles with a separate portion of the spicy garlic sauce, delicious. The owner is lovely and friendly too.

Have Chinese every other week here but this week we ordered it at 5pm and was told it would arrive at 6pm, and at 8:15pm we were told it was still on its way. We called the place 5 times and were told it was en route or we were hung up on. We phoned, eventually got through and told them we didn’t want it anymore and we got a chippy from town head instead. I absolutely adore this restaurant. The owners are wonderful and the customer service provided by Nicola is truly exceptional. The staff are always incredibly friendly and willing to accommodate any special requests, even if it's not on the menu. If you find yourself in Biggar or are on holiday in the area, be sure to stop by and try their delicious Chinese takeout. I highly recommend this place to everyone - it has a very friendly atmosphere.

Recently moved to Biggar and decided to phone an order to be delivered. Big mistake!!! After one hour and forty minutes we phoned to find out what had happened to our meal. We were told that they were busy and only had one delivery driver. Two hours later, it arrived. Meal was cold apart from portion of chips. The chow mein was a big lump of tasteless noodles all stuck together. What a disappointment. Would certainly not recommend to anyone and will never go back.

food was nice and hot when I got it but when I started eating it I started to take unwell chicken balls weren’t cooked right through I’ve been violently sick and have a very sore belly since then really not happy wasn’t worth £10.80 small munchie box for the price Absolutely Ridiculous if you ask me won’t be back I am disgusted of the way the food has been I’m never ill with takeaways but this made me very ill I will never be back and upon arrival receptionist seemed very rushed!!!! DELICIOUS CHINESE TAKEOUT FOOD: The food at this restaurant is absolutely incredible. I highly recommend trying the Salt Chilli Onion Rings, they are a must-try and you will not be disappointed. Whenever we pass through on weekends, we always make sure to get a takeaway. I also suggest trying the Salt Chilli Ribs and Salt Chilli Chicken, which were delicious. These recommendations were given to me by a wonderful staff member named Nicola. All the staff here are lovely, kind, attentive and friendly. Keep up the great work, K-Wok!

We don't usually choose Chinese food, but while away for the weekend we decided to try it and can confidently say we were impressed! The waitress who took our order was professional and friendly, explaining what to expect. The delivery driver did a great job finding us at our secluded cottage and was pleasant to chat with. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. We ordered mushroom chow mein, prawn toast, sweet and sour chicken, and salt and chilli chicken, all of which were fantastic. The dishes were hot and well-seasoned, and we couldn't find a single fault. If we ever find ourselves in this part of Scotland again, we will definitely be returning!
