Great service, lovley food. One of the group had eaten some food but the beef was no to their liking. No issue exchanged for another meal and no charge. Will be back.

Excellent food from start to finish. Great service and a good selection. The butchers board was a nice change from the usuals. My son and husband said the salt and chicken burger was a winner.

The restaurant offers fantastic food at fair prices, with good service, a pleasant atmosphere, and a cozy log fire. It is a beautiful pub in a great location where you can also enjoy some nice drinks.

Always generous portions, lit candles and water on the tables and dog friendly but unfortunately I didn't enjoy my meal this evening and to my surprise not one of the waitresses asked if everything was OK with our meals Voir le carte

Love this pub, been many of times and always have such a great experience. On our last visit there was a little change to the menus and the food quality was the same as ever. The staff are always lovely and always I recommend the pub to everyone!

The restaurant had a young and polite staff who were very professional and helpful with the menu. Despite the beef being a bit tough to cut and the plates not being warmed, the rest of the meal was enjoyable. The landlady appeared to be constantly watching us and was a bit abrupt, whereas the landlord was welcoming and lovely. The dessert was delicious.

My partner and I came across this pub a few weeks ago when we were redirected off the M62. It was a beautiful sunny day and the pub looked inviting, so we promised ourselves we would stop there for lunch the next time we crossed the Pennines. It turned out to be a great decision! We started off by ordering drinks, I chose a pint of Lee's Summer Ale which was a bit sharp for my taste. I mentioned this to the lady serving us and she kindly offered to replace it with a bitter at no extra cost, which was much more to my liking.
