"What a great chippy. We were in the area walking on the beach in the late spring sun and needed to get something to eat. Straight up marine drive turn right and it’s on the left I was told by a local, you can’t go wrong they do cracking fish and chips I was told. What a fantastic friendly chippy who sell outstanding fish chips. The person who told me to go there thanks, you were spot on they were the best I’ve had in north Wales in a long time. I will certainly be going back to Jaap’s fish n chips."

The owners were far from friendly when I called and I had to wait quite some time to be served, The chips appeared to be reheated and the fish was just okay, the portions were small, It is hardly ever open and quite frankly nothing to write home about

I'm disappointed that this place has transitioned to a takeaway only. While I thought the food was good, it wasn’t anything outstanding, especially considering the high prices for a takeaway. Surprisingly, the fish and chips by the sea didn’t measure up to our local spot in Derby! Overall rating: Food: 3, Service: 4, Atmosphere: 2.
