"We stopped here to break up a long journey. Straight away it seemed very unwelcoming. My son is autistic, and because he seemed more comfortable in the corner section we asked to move tables. We were advised that was the dog friendly section, and obviously we would move if needed, it was quiet at the time, but this seem like an inconvenience to move tables. Then when my son was wandering in the pub, this seemed to annoy a couple of guests, and I know he seemed hyperactive but these are some of his autistic traits, this seemed to annoy one couple in particular, where the man was making very rude comments I know you have no control over who comes into your pub) but overall it just felt very unwelcoming in there. Are kids not allowed in here? It didn't seem like it. We come past this pub often, so we will not be stopping here again."

Awesome family meal with superb gluten free options. The kitchen even offered to make gluten free garlic bread. The Hunters chicken was the best we’ve tasted and the kids loved their meal. The service matched the food quality. A must visit.

Had the mixed starter for 2. Was delicious. Could have done with a few more prawns in the glass. The fish goujons had the best batter I have ever tasted. Halloumi excellent. Duck arancini tasty. Sweet potato chips delicious. Great value for money. Looking forward to going back again

Me and my husband came in at dinner time,was sat as soon as we walked in.Lovely staff.I have the steak and ale pie if was amazing best meal i have ever had from the horseshoe,my husband thai crispy beef it was very good,cant get this meal anywhere else in town.Lovely place to come. No nonsense great service and fantastic food ! We went in with 2 x dogs and were very welcome, food was spot on and priced very well. I would say the best part of the evening was the quality service, attentive, prompt and also full of character, the lady serving us was brilliant so friendly and funny, she made the evening!! Thanks very much!!

Called in for tea on our way back from hospital, I ordered scampi and my partner ordered Gammon. The Gammon was tough as old boots, we complained at the bar when paying, my husband said that he wasn't going to pay for the Gammon but because the manager wasn't there they couldn't refund his meal!!! So gave him vouchers instead. We will definitely not be returning and using our vouchers. Very disappointed with the reaction.
