"we were looking forward to dinner at hoffmanns after some friends have recommended it, but our experience has proven to be somewhat disappointing. the waiter was sure friendly and efficient, but tables inside were tight together and there was very little air circulation, and to...cold and wet, sitting outside. the interior was ok. our steaks were properly cooked and were quite delicious, but not as good as steaks that we had in a few other restaurants in the opposite. the supplements were very average. there was a decent wine menu. our bill included a fee of 4 euro for something called tschechie that we had never seen on a restaurant bill in Germany, probably for a basket of pure white brot that we had not ordered. we thought that was a little sticky and we probably won't return."

Came in to the restaurant and seated promptly. Staff very friendly. The ribeye was excellent. Very reasonable price for the quality of food. Highly recommended.

I'm receiving this place very much. our sweaty was very nice and attentive. Eating was excellent. we had suppe, steak and wok ente and bark meat. all in best quality. delicious

Visited Hoffmans twice in the 5 days we stayed in Bamberg Excellent steaks cooked exactly to order... Amazing deserts and super friendly staff . Would highly recommend.. hope to see you next year !!

A busy Friday evening in the restaurant, Good service throughout the meal. Both had Ribeye steaks which were large and cooked a perfect rare and sides very good. The wine list looked fine to me but we opted for local beer. (some would say what...else in Bamberg a town of many local breweries)

very good food! especially steaks are highly recommended! good quality and exactly as fried as they want! nice selection of weeps. good service! friendly staff! there is a star to escape because the one I wanted to order was not available (delivery difficult). I also wanted to avoid various sorbets dessert because the ice machine was broken! we have dessert as a replacement for the bargain price!

hoffmann’s is clearly at the higher end of the restaurants of bamberg. it is in the city of the city in a beautiful historical building. the restaurant is more on the small side with a limited number of tables so pre espetically book in times of covid. open grill with show...Kooking, which is nice to watch, but also comes with a rather smokey air. not suitable for everyone. eating (meat is the clear speciality of the house) is excellent, so the weine. service ok, but sometimes a bit disorganized.
