Nice place but go for the food only ..; as a pint of Guinness is £6.80 !!!! Cheaper to drink in London . Such a shame , bit of a rip off!

Great pub nicely presented with a good range of drinks. Lunch menu was attractive but found portions on the small side so left hungry.Overall good service but food little pricey.

Last week, we enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast (beef) at this pub and it was outstanding. The atmosphere of the pub is fantastic, very welcoming, and the food is great. I highly recommend this place. Voir le carte

Walked in and smiled at the scene. Just lovely inside. Great staff , excellent service and the food was vunderba.. We weren’t rushed at all and sat with after dinner drinks just savouring our perfect evening

Lunch out with family and friends. Lovely hot soup usually soups are served tepid in restaurants) so nice to have a hot one. The sweet potato curry was delicious and we loved the sticky toffee pudding. Service was quick and friendly too

My family and I enjoyed a delightful Sunday lunch at this restaurant after a stroll on our beloved beach in Winchelsea. The service was exceptional and the desserts were especially tasty. The treacle tart and large serving of crumble (previously lackluster, but now improved) were the perfect finish to a fantastic meal. Voir le carte

During our stay in the area, I discovered this restaurant through a Google search. It had a welcoming and cozy atmosphere, and they allowed dogs. The menu offered a variety of options and the service was excellent, although the wine was a bit expensive. My only complaint was that bread and butter with the scallop starter would have been a nice addition. Additionally, there was no tartare sauce available even though fish was on the menu. Despite these minor issues, I will definitely return in the future. Overall, I had a great time at this restaurant.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service. There was an empty table for 6, nobody waiting for it and no reservation sign on it. When asked if 3 of us could sit down (intending to order lunch for my husbands birthday) we were refused he was told to sit somewhere else and when asked if it was reserved he said no. When asked at the bar with the very unenthusiastic staff member if we could sit somewhere, we understood there was nowhere else but asked to perch on 3 bar stools squashed against the wall with nowhere to eat. No reason for the empty table remain unavailable and no reason for not having a brighter attitude in their customer service. Perhaps a little training in this area wouldn't go ami...

I’ve been to The Globe on The Marsh many times and enjoyed many lovely times there BUT today when l stopped by and got a drink with my dog, sitting close by the fire in a relatively empty bar for a quick warm up. I was close to finishing the drink when a rude member of bar staff “Kasha” who had actually sold me the drink, asked me to vacate as the table was reserved!! 2 females with a dog had just walked in prior, so I asked them if they had made the reservation… no. Quite incensed on leaving I asked if it was a public bar and if the table was reserved, why wasn’t I made aware of the fact prior…? I had felt a hostility from Kasha on walking into the bar for whatever reason but this situation... Voir le carte
