"I just have to say the staff owner of the pub treat the traders on the market so well! Most other pubs require us to buy a drink to use the toilet every single time which becomes pricey, the cross keys is the only pub that kinda just lets us run in as and when we need and of course in return we buy a coffee or two to say thanks. Even if we didn’t buy drinks they wouldn’t deny traders using their toilet and it makes all the difference to us. Simple nice gestures like that go along way! Selfless and pleasant staff"

"We all enjoyed the food my brother had the pork terrine from a nearby supplier, which he enjoyed very much. I had the Dorset Crème Brûlée. It came with a crab and Parmesan twist and the whole dish was absolutely fabulous. Full of crab flavour, and very fresh. For main, we all had stuffed guinea fowl, which was equally good. The flavours of the vegetables were well matched with the chicken. I had cheese for my dessert, a healthy portion that I couldn’t finish. My brother had the crime brûlée and my sister in law had the Mille Feuille. They both thought they were delicious. All in all, the food was excellent. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome. If I lived in Dorset, I’d go back often."

"We were in Sherborne for the (small) Saturday market and hadresearched the best place for lunch. Tamburino Gold lived up to its recommendations and reviews a brilliant welcome and meal. On a lovely day we were fortunate to be able to sit on the front terrace.The food was just perfect a starter each and mains (Rack of lamb and salmon salad). Service was excellent and all staff very friendly. With 2 glasses of wine, a beer and a coffee, the bill came to £81 including service charge. Excellent value for that quality of meal and experience."

"Called in for lunch after visiting the Abbey, so glad we did. Lovely place , clean with very friendly staff and lovely tempting displays of cakes and other goodies. We decided to have lunch, my partner chose the coronation chicken on brown (his favourite sandwich filling) he declared it the best he’d every had and waxed lyrical about how good the bread was as well. I opted for the home made ham and cheese quiche which was absolutely delicious, both plates beautifully presented with different salads on the side. Portion sizes were good and with tea for two proved a lovely lunch, unfortunately we’d no room for cakes sadly. Unfortunately we were only in Sherborne for the day but if we ever find ourselves there again we will definitely revisit, unfortunately I didn’t think to take photos until the plates were empty! They do what they do very well and with a smile, a little gem."
