"I have ordered from here for a long time and it’s been great and on the odd occasion when it’s not been the best, I have never complained. Tonight however the food was dreadful. So bad, I couldn’t eat it so took it back. The reaction I got from a lady there was upsetting to say the least. She shouted at me, the whole kitchen were shouting whilst I just stood there feeling upset at the reaction. I simply wanted something different (which I paid extra for) I will be taking this much further. I will never order again and two friends of mine in the area have just said they will never go there again either. I never get upset or rude but was treated with utter disgust"

Excellent choices at this place, Singapore Fried Rice is one of my personal favourites. Quick service and almost always open!

Pretty decent for take away, fast (literally 5 min wait) portions are good for noodle dishes sweet and sour was good. The only criticism chicken balls were overcooked

Ordered food from here using UberEats… absolutely revolting. The curry was basically gravy and the prawn toast was sesame seed covered mush. Inedible so I threw it in the bin.

Very helpful taking a pre order for New Years eve, a short wait when collecting but they were very busy. Food good and cooked fresh. Very pleasant staff on the phone and in the takeaway. Voir le carte

I have recently ordered a few meals from this restaurant. The portions were huge, the prices were great, and the service was quick and cheerful. I particularly enjoyed the Chicken Chow Mein, it was excellent.

I ordered the wok special curry, my wife had the chicken curry, and my son had the chicken nugget meal. We also enjoyed a duck spring roll each, which was delicious. They even gave us a free bag of freshly made prawn crackers. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Having used the flaming wok for many years and being our go to for a Chinese takeaway. We have noticed lately it's gone downhill to the point I'm not returning again and found elsewhere to go. The last three have not been to standard we have been used to. The last one being the chow mein b eing salty and burnt tasting. Not sure what's going on but it's a shame. Voir le carte

The satay sauce was the worst I have ever tasted, without exaggeration. I am not sure what it was made of. The chow mein was burnt and lacked flavor. The seaweed, prawn toast, chicken balls, and rice were okay. However, the restaurant really needs to improve their satay recipe—it was terrible. Despite there being 6-7 people waiting outside during peak hours, the quality of the food needs to be better. I will not be returning.

We had quite a simple take away meal for two. Very fast service (there were several other customers, but it only took about 10 minutes). The staff are friendly. We order shrimp fried rice, beef in black bean sauce and chicken with ginger. It was ample (and we have really good appetites) and very good value for about £15. The food was delicious and very well cooked put it this way: If I was having a party, I would live to employ their chefs to impress my friends. It is really nice to experience a take away restaurant that delivers what you are hoping for. Yum! Eager to try more of their menu items.

"We 're looking forward to trying the Pheasant again on a normal day. We went on Boxing Day and it was pretty disastrous. Meant to be a treat but it certainly wasn 't. Starters were nice, no cooking involved apart from the pesto. Then the mains. The beef was grey, not pink as I was told it would be but it was tender. The roast potatoes tasted a bit old but there were plenty. The Chantenay carrots were very soft. The Savoy cabbage was perfect but the portion was tiny. The gravy was nice but we got a different variety when we asked for more. The Yorkshire pudding was the main disaster; it seemed old, and very hard to the point of shattering. Desserts. The sticky toffee pudding was fine although the serving of sauce was very mean. The clotted cream with it is, in my opinion, the best way to serve this pudding, it 's a relief from all the sweetness. The apple crumble was terrible; it came in a bowl with the custard already in it with the pudding. The apple was sour and the crumble was squidgy stodge. The service was fine although some staff not yet fully professional. We would have expected a welcoming hello and goodbye but that didn 't happen. Our overall feeling was that there was serious penny pinching going on with the mains and desserts but this is a very bad idea when you are judged on your last meal but we do intend to try again because it 's such a wonderful building and we 've had many good experiences in The Pheasant, perhaps before the present owners, we 're not really sure."
