We got a recommendation to this restaurant and were very happy with it. The pasta was fresh and the sauces were very light and tasty. Would definitely go back when there in town.

What a place! Hidden on one of the small strees in Regensburg but provied one of the best italian food in town! The spaghetti with garlic scampi were a delight, the wine desert making it only better. Highly recommend it for special evenings.. like girls night out in a more fancy way.

The house-made spinach ravioli were very good. The menu read well and the intimate atmosphere was good for conversation. Nous avons été tellement déçus! Tout le monde dans notre groupe a estimé que nous avions été trompés par la qualité inattendue de la nourriture. Nos plats de fruits de mer étaient trop cuits. Crevettes caoutchouteuses et poulpe moelleux. Même les plats de pâtes étaient médiocres. La sauce pour pâtes avait le goût d'une canette. Pas ... trace d'ingrédients frais. Octopus carpaccio with orange sauce, tagliatelle with porcini and black truffles, goat cheese covered with shaved truffles: these were some of the highlights of our celebratory dinner with two couples. The food was excellent, the choices of bottled wine delightful, the service attentive and the...atmosphere friendly. Neither a bargain nor overpriced, just right. Simple, homey interior, seating for people (reservations recommended look forward to a wonderful dinner! Tiramisu and a homemade chocolate cake did not stand out. I will skip dessert next time.

Little gem of a restaurant, hidden away on a quiet back street. Did not have a reservation but we managed to get a table in the small outside seating area. Food was absolutely delizioso. Started with zuppa pomodoro and avocado aurora, then we feasted on...costolette cognac, lamb chops in a mouth watering gravy, and a risotto milanese that you did not want to finish as it was so good. Service was fantastic. The woman server (who has a degree in American studies) made us feel very welcome and seemed genuinely pleased that we had visited. Regensburg has several good Italian restaurants but this one is now number one in our book. We hope to return soon with a reservation this time! Voir le carte

I shouldn't talk and review this perl of italian cuisine, as it is that good that I have to fear that I might have problems to get a free table the next time i want to dine there. Nevermind, it is the only italian restaurant...in Regensburg with a masters cook of italian cuisine and you should defiantly not go there if you look for ordinary pizza, that you get basically everywhere. To Federico you should go, if you like fantastic Italian dishes from homemade pasta to fish and meat or very good deserts. But the best thing is there are also a daily menu with only the freshest dishes and if something is out its out, nothing frozen or prepared days ago, except maybe the Tiramisu. I read often he...

J'essaie de ne pas juger le livre par la couverture, mais il était difficile de surveiller les fenêtres en plastique bon marché et l'intérieur pas si accueillant et daté. Nous étions un groupe de quatre et nous nous sommes installés pour une entrée mixte, deux plats de poisson et deux ... plats de pâtes comme plats principaux. L'entrée mixte était un peu petite pour le prix, mais ce qu'il y avait dans l'assiette était bon. Les plats de pâtes étaient bons, des pâtes fraîches et des sauces savoureuses. We all have a dream to discover a real restaurant, a mixture of ambiance that is neither fake nor contrived, food that captures the essence of its source, staff that are friendly and personable and not like trained dogs, a chef that either owns the...restaurant or its his/her responsibility for consistency and art and a menu that invigorates you and shows fresh ideas or classics with something extra. So it was with a welcome surprise that while in Regensburg recently I was recommended by TA to try Federico Secondo a wonderful name that is itself a true bridge between Germany and Italy and more importantly the Italy of Puglia and Sicily.
