"I visited Faustos with a group of family and friends and we were highly impressed. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating, they were able to amend dishes as requested. Anna was also amazing and bought in vegan Prosecco and cheese especially for a vegan member of the party. She explained the menu clearly and that they could amend pretty much any dish to be vegan. Everyone in the group thought their meal was delicious all vegan/ vegetarian and meat eaters! We couldn’t thank Anna and the team enough for their hospitality and look forward to visiting again when we are next in Minehead."

This place is great. We ate here with friends. Our daughter is coeliac and they had gluten-free pasta options available. Very family friendly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

the atmosphere of the restaurant is soothing and romantic. I ordered the salmon as a take that was full of taste and pasta was perfectly cooked. they need to book a table in advance, as it is busy on Friday night. Voir le carte

what a wonderful restaurant. we had not booked, but the man found us a table. very helpful for choices without gluten. I had tomato and mozzarella pasta (I have never pasta as a choice normally). it was delicious. very recommended to eat here.

Good food although slightly above the price you would normally pay for the area. Half a pint of peroni beer was £4.95. Pasta dishes reasonably priced, mains with meat above the average price. Food cooked to order and very flexible with flavours and ingredients. Staff very attentive and helpful.

The food was lovely and clearly all cooked from fresh. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also very nice, the young waiting staff did a good job and the lady who I assume was the owner/manager came to check that everything was ok on more than one occasion. We would definitely visit again if we were back in Minehead. Voir le carte

I really trying to be fair here...but this restaurant is not italian....the food was not good I've served better at home...soggy pasta...fish half of a fish was expensive a rip off...I would never entertain going back..so they should do a lot better...italian cooking should be tasty pasta light...a real enjoyment it was none of these. .

dear woman managed to press our family in spontaneously before us, we had an hour gap, we were not rushed at all. a cook, the brother of the dame that helps the restaurant, came eating out almost immediately, brilliant service had time for desserts. very glad that we could be served was the perfect end after a day trip. thanks to the chef.

The George Inn

The George Inn

"Yet again we needed to celebrate having resolved a long standing technical problem. The pub in Brompton Regis came up in discussion the evening before when our neighbour was around for a glass of wine. He said that before coming to our village he’d looked at houses in Brompton Regis. He left and we booked a table. Friday was a damp day but we were not deterred as we drove up into the Brendon Hills, usually distant views greet one but this day the clouds were dominant. However as we descended from Roborough Gate towards Wimbleball Lake we could turn off the wipers. By the time we crossed the bridge at the top of the lake a shaft of sun broke through and sparkled across the surface of the water whilst light wisps of mist kissed the shore line. Rounding the churchyard wall always raises our expectations for there is the George Inn. The bar door was hardly open before Tash, a beaming smile, greeted us with a price board for ‘COFFEE’. I said in my previous review that I wouldn’t mention coffee at the George again, sorry, but I must. The coffee machine had arrived the day before. Well done Tripadvisor the George! We had a wonderful starter of Baba Ganoush, new to the menu that day. It was exceptionally good with delicate flavour. Following on was chicken breast and pasta with tomato sauce, again great flavour though my wife found it a little too greasy. My Bengal curry was fantastic and a most generous serving. Our ‘Desert,’sic, was Chocolate Ganache with pistachio ice cream under crunched nuts. I had the steamed maple syrup pudding set in a delicious whisky sauce, a very delicate and light texture, just right to finish on after the curry! Of course we had our long awaited espressos from the new device, a delicious finale to our meal. Earlier in walkers had dropped in wanting a coffee. Now all on Exmoor should be heading to the George for their ‘hit’."
