"Absolutely fantastic place! Staff are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. Great atmosphere and friendly welcoming locals always ready for a conversation and to get to know you. A brilliant giant leek auction happened while we were there as part of a year end growing season of produce. Very random, and very entertaining... will definitely be back for that next one! Food was excellent also! Food drinks: Excellent food. Had Cumberland sausage followed by the crumble and custard and it went down a treat!"

This is a genuine pub with authentic home-cooked meals! We visited friends in the area, and this is the pub/hotel they frequent. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent! They even offered beer samples before we made our choice, which was a nice touch. It feels like a local business rather than a chain. Overall, I would rate the rooms, service, and location all as 5 out of 5!
