"I had my first taste of eating today. faster and courtier service, it was obvious that eating was prepared before spot and very fresh. I ordered the pulled swarm, the brisketburger and the hawn with a wedge. sharing this with the family, there was a lot to go and there were 4 satisfied people. pulled pork tender and damp, brisket burger boiled exactly right, cheeky, and that huh had an amazing taste, I have commented how the chicken skin doesn't look sharp enough, but as I ate it, I had to change my mind, beautiful and crisp with a lot of taste. keep the good work, can not wait to see what is next."

"Went for Sunday lunch with family, the beef was very chewy on mine veg was ok wife had turkey which was nice and daughter left half of hers as was tasteless. We then had deserts which were nothing special dry and tasteless with frozen fruits apart from the chocolate orange are which was delicious. The eating area could do with a good clean lots of big spiders webs and was big spider on the table which my wife jump. Overall it was a very average carvary not badly priced but won't be going there again."

"Arrived on time for our booking had short wait as no one at bar we were shown to our table when a member of staff arrived. Drinks order taken arrived quickly given time to look at menu then order taken as I like at table. Starters arrived nicely presented eaten promptly all very nice plates cleared main courses served after short wait as this is a pub that serves fresh food cooked from fresh. This is where our experience changed we where asked of everything was ok for us. Table cleared when we had finished asked if we would like dessert menu yes please we replied. We waited waited asked again when they where thrown on table we then waited but after 25 mins from saying yes to us going paying nobody had been to ask if we wished to order. This was a huge disappointment for us Pub as we missed our sweets they missed 4 purchases. We have eaten here numerous times never has service been as poor. We will return as food is excellent, (except 7 yr old Grandson who said service was atrocious. It was his disappointment of no dessert."

"Called by for Sunday lunch today on the off chance of a free table. We had heard that the Red Alligator can get pretty busy on a weekend. Staff and landlord were welcoming and friendly. Carvery was excellent for £6.95. We had pork which was delicious and the vegetables did not disappoint along with the fab Yorkshire puddings. Thought I'd over done it with the portion on my plate until I saw how much the couple next to us had piled on theirs. How it stayed on the plate was a marvel of construction. Great experience and we will definitely go back to try the midweek menu."

"I struggle to come up with an original review of Chang Thai restaurant in our home town of Bishop Auckland, but here goes. Outside of koh samui, pataya, Koh lak, Hua Hin.. For authentic Thai food, there are very, very few places... In England that...can produce original Thai food, not fancified. Not messed about with to satisfy a new wave of diners or try to fuse, western and Eastern.? If you want a piece of Thailand in a cold and rainy part of the North East of England.... Just book a table here. I cannot praise this establishment enough. DO NOT CHANGE.... for anyone!!! Well done."
