Chikayan - Carte

Very nice Chinese restaurant, especially fried noodle and fried rice. We have ordered take away 3 times during our 2 weeks stay in England.

Unbelievable arrogance from the so called staff. Pathetic excuse for a restaurant. More suited to a soup kitchen. Just look at their ratings. Pathetic.

Terrible service , waited so long for our food that had been delivered to another table. We had to keep requesting our food .. Took them 20 mins to sort out... Starters had no taste ,lacking salt. Mains well no cimment Voir le carte

I have written other reviews of Chikayan before but wanted to write an updated one as the food and service is second to none. Post covid the place has had a refresh/facelift with a new bar area and the tables are well spaced out so...

We are regular visitors here and have really liked liked it in the past. However, food has gone seriously downhill and the service too. We ordered our usual meal, but the seaweed was full of sugar and the green beans tasted like the had been... Voir le carte

Used to love this place for family and friends catch up. The food used to be spot on and staff friendly. Sadly this is no longer the case. Was there for a small birthday gathering and staff literally had frowns on and miserable. Crispy chilli beef used to be a highlight but this is bad now. Such a shame.

After leaving a justifiably bad review a year ago, having visited many times before, we decided to give this restaurant another chance and we were glad we did. It’s safe to say the food is back to it’s previous best, indeed this was probably the best meal we have had here, visiting many times over the last ten years. Well done to the management and staff, keep it up as we will be returning. Voir le carte
