"Stopped for a meal today with my daughter, had sausage and mash £17 which I thought was a bit steep for 2 sausages but they were nice maybe a little over done or possibly reheated. The mash and veg was substantial and I did enjoy the meal. The young lady with light brown hair served us she was really polite and stood out as being very hospitable, brought me a teaspoon to share my meal with my baby, although I only spoke to her and the lady behind the bar she really stood out as doing all she could. Thank you for a lovely meal and welcome. Can’t comment on rooms as didn’t stay."

Popped in for lunch, after I had seen a recommendation on the Hand Luggage Only site. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we never had any room left for the sticky toffee pudding that was lauded on the above website. Service: 5 Location: 5

We came for dinner on a Saturday and all tables were booked in the main hall however they managed to accommodate us in the other room where people were watching football. Luckily, the game was over soon, so it wasn't that loud anymore. The atmosphere was nothing special but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food came pretty quick, and it was delicious. We had trout with potatoes the portions were big. We had Guinness, which was also good.
