"Asked for Autumn Menu and were given 4 Prosecco. One of us did not like the choice and choose meals from main menu. We were not asked to give back a Prosecco. No one else in the restaurant. Waitress was also chef when we came to dessert. We ordered 1 pint of beer and were brought 2. Sent 1 back. When we tried to use our Tesco Club Card points to pay we were told that they were not valid for the Autumn Menu. We were charged for the extra Prosecco and we were charged for the 2nd pint of beer that had been returned. Lighting inside the restaurant was very poor and it was depressing being the only 4 people in the restaurant when we were celebrating a very special birthday."

We visit Café Rouge Norwich whenever we are going to the Theatre Royal. Have always found the food to be good quality and value for money and the staff and service excellent. Would certainly recommend to friends.

I booked online and had a confirmation but the restaurant were not expecting us. They did find us a table. The service was very slow and we only had time for starters. Lots of people but it didn't seem like anyone was being served any food! They got the bill wrong which was corrected. You need plenty of time to eat here.

the open table app didn't work, I did there and no reservation was made. to the luck, because I had my email confirmation, they were friendly enough to set up a table for us. eating was nothing special, however, and the presentation was not great. that is not a reflection about the personal, but that is not the reason why they go into a restaurant.

I just dived for a café au lait and a piece of red velvety cake (which I had two years ago), but it seemed that they had nothing of it. at the end I left myself for a latte and a piece of teer au citron, both really nice. my only complaining is that the price is a little steep for what they are. the waitress was really nice to help me in the choice and the atmosphere was just as big, with smooth songs that stroke our ears.

The experience at Café Rouge was a very average one. The booking made through Opentable was not on their system even though I had received two confirmation emails. Fortunately as they were not busy a table was available for us. The the starters (both only Pate' took around 25 minutes to arrive. These were served with only a single piece of bread. The rest of the meal did arrived quite promptly. As already mentioned, overall a very average dining experience.

I would not recommend or visit again, waited 15 just to get drink order taken then only after attracting someoneone, think it was the manager then he still carried on setting a table before attending to us. I asked for a fillet steak with salad medium rare, my husband said he would have the same with fries, my steak was well done the manager said he thought I said medium to well but my husband said but I asked for the same and mine is fine. The salad portion was pathetic . How they have the cheek to charge £22-95 for such a pitiful portion is beyond me. I have told people our experience and no way would go back!!!!
