I love it here. The staff are so lovely and the food never disappoints

always a nice reception from jane and the team and today we enjoyed a fabulous afternoon tea. absolutely delicious.

Food was very nice, our party had the full cooked breakfast, beans on toast and kippers. Very tasty well cooked, full breakfast was one of the best we've had. Only downside was the service, lacked coordination and waiters were taking sauces and sugar from other tables which already had people.

One of the best places for food in Ashbourne, I know as I have tried most. It's not too fancy but it is a really good quality and fresh too. On my first visit I thought I would get the mass production standard of food, but no it was fresh and well worth the money. Always full of regulars for good reason!

First visit here, took my 4 year old son as a special treat for completing his first month at school. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. We ordered milkshakes and cake, and both were very delicious and served in generous portions. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back thank you!

Advertised as dog friendly, and genuinely was blanket and treats provided upon arrival, staff genuinely interested in said pooch. For the humans there was excellent coffee, tasty tea cakes, and a good atmosphere. Toilets were spotless, a little outdoor space upstairs as well, but weather didn't permit using it the day we visited. Prices reasonable, would happily revisit.

I cost my breakfast so much that I went back in the afternoon tea and cake. photos show the selection of hottest baked cakes. everything is fresh to order. I had a bacon and my friend had a grilled sandwich. we shared a pot tee and it was so good that after a hard day shopping went back for tee and cake. I shot a slice of carrot cake that was beautiful. my friend chose the lemon she loved.

I've been to this cafe 4 or 5 times now and every time the food is delicious. Still haven't tried their cakes as I'm always too full, but I will. The staff are really lovely. If I have any criticism it would be that sometimes when they are busy downstairs there can be quite a few tables of people waiting upstairs that are wondering if anybody is serving, but its not the end of the world to wait a little while : I'll be going for lunch again this week!
