"I have heard many things about Coffee Aroma but never actually paid a visit to them! The traffic light system on the door was great! Green= Enter, Red= Wait The coffee overall wasn’t phenomenal and certainly not exciting. However under the current climate and circumstances...it is out of their control. I suppose they wish they weren’t restricted but sadly coronavirus has affected this. I am only rating the drink I had not the atmosphere. The white hot chocolate, my partner said was delicious and certainly worth trying The decor was nice and dark which is uncommon nowadays. Yes the stairs were a little steep but I guess this is the pros and cons of a building that they are using. The coffee house is certainly disabled friendly Overall it wasn’t too bad but not all people make it out to be. I’m really sorry guys I know you’re trying and most of the experience was pleasurable! Definitely disagree with previous comments about brands, we need to support our local independents so please please give this place a try."

My husband enjoyed a coffee with you today, but sadly there were no decaf coffee options so I had to go without. Please consider introducing this to your menu in the future?

Stopped for coffee after walking back from the cathedral. Excellent coffee and also service. Have walked past here a number of times and finally had an opportunity to try it.

I tried a second time. once again disappointed. unwilling was our first impression. no hallo of two young ladies servier. yes, the place has character. but the first floor room seemed a little grubby. don't go back.

You place your order at the counter on the ground floor and climb up a narrow winding staircase to tables upstairs. Your food is brought up to you. We had to wait a while for ours to be served. Not the most comfortable or accessible cafe.

This place ticks every box. Super choice of cakes and tray bakes. (I had the vegan carrot cake tray bake. Yum Would definitely recommend it to people visiting Lincoln. Sat outside and watched the world go by. Situated on a street with no cars and...bikes give way to pedestrians. (Why don't more cities and towns adopt that policy

Our first visit to Lincoln. We had our dog with us and needed outside seating or takeaway. (Admittedly we tried Costa first for a takeaway but the service was so slow we gave up). So glad we spotted this place instead. Excellent drinks, friendly service...and delicious carrot cake. Loved the little plants on the outside tables, a little thing but made a great impression.

was led to believe on the online menu that there is a good dark hot chocolate here. I don't like it sweet, so I always look for a dark option. what a disappointment! so incredibly sweet could only manage one swallow. really. disgusting. my man said it was done with a syrup, I think they add only extra syrup for a darkness, but it just ends unimaginable sweet. I wouldn't go back there.

we visited today, family of four paninis, two lattes and two doses fizzy orange. I came to 36 pounds. the latte were served in small glasses on a wooden floor with water and were very strong, nothing like a latte. I had to put two sugars in and it was too strong. When the paninis arrived, they were warm outside, but each of them was cold in the middle. the brie and the cranberry paninis had spilled cranberry. No one came to ask how that was eating. I felt completely demolished.

"From the outside, it looks like another tacky eatery in a street lined with tacky takeaways. Walk through the door and pleasantly surprised. A little deli counter, a back room then a garden. The garden overlooks a derelict abandoned overgrown garden. Not a problem, I am used to this in Athens. What is the problem, and I don’t see in Athens, tenants throwing rubbish out of their windows into the garden. It is ideal breeding ground for rats. The local environmental health should investigate, and if needed carry out enforcement action. To sit outside or not? Maybe too cool when the sun went in, and too hot if it came out as no shade. I decided to sit inside, near the back door. A red rose on the table is a neat touch. I was the only diner. Oh but we were busier earlier. Strange how I am always told, if you’d have been here when you weren’t here, we were busy. The menu was singurly uninspiring. Why panini’s? Everywhere does paninis. I have never understood why. Or pasta. The choice penne (which I don’t like), or spaghetti (which I dislike slightly less) I chose spaghetti Bolognese. It arrived seemingly quick. I was asked when I placed my order, did I wish for Parmesan cheese? It was added in the kitchen. Usually brought to and added at the table. Spaghetti Bolognese is not an Italian dish. It was an artificial dish with elements of North and South. The spaghetti mediocre at best, the Bolognese sauce excellent. I was going to leave but decided to stay. I chose tiriamasiu for dessert. Coffee, Illy, no thanks. For coffee walk to Madame Waffle or Coffee Aroma. I visited a couple of weeks ago, the previous week I found closed."
