"Well we booked a table for 9pm and we arrived 9.15pm. Took the staff over 10 minutes to take our order when we finally placed an order the waiter said ‘Do you mind if I bring starters and mains together because the kitchen closes at 9.39?’ We had ordered spring rolls which was served with no additional cutlery offered the tables are served with spoon fork so no knife offered to eat spring rolls. Plus the gentleman toilets do not have a lock and there was wee all over the floor. Overall a massive disappointment!!"

"I have been to this hostelry twice now, once with my partner and her father and one just him and myself. It really is a very nice establishment. Spotlessly clean, tastefully laid out and very welcoming. We had lunch on both occasions which was really very nice, a comprehensive menu and quite a good selection of specials. There is a very nice patio area at the rear with nicely spaced seating and lovely views across the valley. There is ample parking on site. The staff, on both occasions were welcoming and friendly. We will certainly be returning. Thank you"

"I had reason to loiter in Skipton for a number of hours whilst a friend had an outpatient op at the local hospital, and out of the dozens of small cafes decided upon Coopers... free parking at a nearby supermarket was a bonus. An extensive choice of breakfast foods, but throwing caution to the wind I had a full English. A very rare thing for me, but quality ingredients, no grease, and proper thick brown toast with marmalade. Excellent value, served by cheery staff who could teach some of my local pub bar staff a thing or two, and somewhere to return to if I’m ever in need of sustenance...the lunchtime menu looks very inviting. And a proper large cup of cappuccino... Well done all involved."

"We dined at the restaurant one evening and coincidentally, it was Yorkshire Day, so I had the opportunity to enjoy a roast dinner with Yorkshire pudding. Although I was looking forward to it, I must admit it was just okay, as I have had tastier ones before. However, spending time in The Snug during the wet weather was still delightful. We enjoyed hot chocolate and reading a book, and it was nice to chat with other guests. Unfortunately, our experience was marred one evening by inconsiderate dog owners who allowed their aggressive dog to disturb other patrons in The Snug. Despite our well-trained dog, we were subjected to unpleasant behavior from the other dog and its owner, leading us to cut our evening short and leave. It would have been better if the staff had intervened to control the situation. Such behavior from selfish owners can ruin the experience for everyone else."

"Met our Yorkshire friends for our Annual meet up and were provided with a lovely round window table. It was a cool Wednesday afternoon in Skipton, also Market day, and whereas in the past Restaurant always been busy, this time quite quiet. To our advantage...as we received excellent personal service. Great menu, as ever, My wife had a fish pie, which she thought was amongst the best ever, I was not so hungry and had a delicious Black Pudding stack with fries. With drinks, the bill was a reasonable £40(with service) Great Restaurant whatever the occasion; Highly recommended"
