"After reading some of the reviews, thought we’d give this place a go, it’s local too, so within walking distance. It’s a nice looking chippy, down near the seafront, plenty of tables if you wanted to eat in. Lovely big counter and plenty of staff on hand, staff were polite and helpful. Menu is pretty big, plenty of options, and although some people have moaned about the prices, I thought they were actually pretty reasonable, especially compared from my old chippy. Ordered fish and chips and a couple of saveloys, was served in a box, ideal for eating on the front. Thought the chips were really nice, decent sized portion too. Sadly the fish and savs weren’t as nice. The batter on the fish was decent, but the actual fish tasted old, and it was really dry, considering it was cooked fresh, I was quite surprised. It was a good size, so maybe a little overcooked? It’s a real shame, maybe it was just an off night, I will go back and try again another time, the spicy potatoes looked really good, so maybe I’ll give them a try next time. As I said, lots of different options, so I’m sure there’s something for everyone. Fingers crossed for next time. EDIT Went back again the other night, ordered the special spuds, and wow they tasted as good as they looked, will come back for more of those soon! Massive portion of chips, great chips again, proper chippy chips and a couple of nice crispy battered sausages! Stars increased to represent my 2nd visit, thanks for a lovely meal!"

Went recently for lunch it was as good as I remember from 2 years ago. The fish is freshly cooked, great portion size for the price taste amazing.

Ordered large cod and chips 2 sausages and chips. One of the best cod and chips I've had in along time and the same with the sausages even the dog was happy with one of the sausages 2/8/24

NOT DOG FRIENDLY: Went on a solo trip to the seafront with my little dog. I asked if I was able to order to takeaway, however I was rudely asked to wait outside. After people had been served the girl who told me to wait outside didn’t take my order. I had expected better considering the location. Very disappointing.

I was not happy to be charged 10p for a bag that I didn’t ask for and was not told about this extra charge, Bring back the good old fashioned paper bags that were free, I know everything has gone up but come on I’m also advertising your establishment for free hence Bruno’s on the posh bag, I’ve never been charged in a fish and chip shop for a bag, I would sooner put the money in a charity box.

Bruno's is an excellent place to have reshment and excellent food, lot's to choose. And excellent service, so make a choice for fish and chips .
