Our prepaid voucher was valid for 1 year, but we were surprised to be asked for an additional £2 to cover a price increase. The sandwiches were uninspired and cold, as if they had been taken straight from the fridge. The cakes were tasty, but also served cold. The scones, however, were delicious. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. With some more thought put into the afternoon tea menu, it could easily be transformed into the delightful treat it should be. The atmosphere was a bit somber, and adding more light could make the restaurant feel cheerier during the day. These improvements are simple fixes that could greatly enhance the overall experience.
