Stopped by at the Bock House for lunch with friends. The service was great, as were the lunch time specials. It is across the road from the railway station, a bonus if you are waiting for a train. Bonus free wifi!

This place seems fancy from the outside, but don't be fooled. The food is average at best and the interior is dated. The price is too high for the quality of food. The tenderloin was ok, but the burger was almost uneatable. Voir le carte

The food and the service was exceptional. So glad I didn't go for KFC across the road. The staff were really friendly, the steak was cooked beautifully and the desert (ice-cream) was delicious. Highly recommend you go if you're around the Hauptbahnhof area.

Just had great steak, bruschetta and goulash. We washed this down with cold beer and Petit Clos NZ Sauvignon Blanc. A very extensive menu gives the diner plenty of choice. Our waitress 'Melanie' was very informative and friendly. Talk to her about ice hockey ????

Came in here on our last day in Hamburg for tea, couldn't fault it steak was done beautifully accompanied with delicious onions and mushrooms, even my fussy 9 year old found something to enjoy from the children's menu, and ate the lot.I particularly like the Erdinger white beer to wash it down with. We enjoyed an excellent meal at Block House this evening.Pros:- Good location - easy to find (follow signs for U-Bahn lines 1/3 and then cross road)- Attentive service - the waiters were on hand and ready to recommended food- Quick service - took around 15 minutes for 3 main meals to be served- Brilliant food - good portion sizes, tasty dishesCons-Noisy if sat outside - next to major road, plenty of indoor seating

While walking around the town we noticed the Block House and the line to get in and figured we would try German fast food. Not bad!I got a Caesar Salad, which was quite good, more than just romaine lettuce. My son got the BBQ burger with fries and my partner had the Portabella mushroom burger and thought it was quite good. The fries are very good and they give you water in a glass without charge.Fun fast food and very tasty.

This is a very, very basic steakhouse restaurant, charging exorbitant prices. It is a steakhouse and one would expect that they would not make a total mess of it. However, even the more expensive steak (filet mignon, supposedly) was almost inedible. The steak meals are the most basic American-style affair - baked potato, salad and steak. Expect, in the US you would pay about 1/3 of the price - they want up to 30 euros for this, and the steaks are like shoe leather. Voir le carte
