"Hate to say it, but this experience was beyond embarrassing. We waited an hour for our brunch. When it arrived, four of the dishes were different to what was ordered. The scrambled eggs tasted like fish and all of the ‘poached’ eggs were essentially hard boiled, the yolk (pictured) was like eating one of the tracking balls you used to get in an old computer mouse and it wasn’t because they’d been waiting to bring all the meals out at once because two of them came out a good 5 10 minutes after all the others. My friend’s teeth could barely get through the toast, it was so hard, she had to give up. Two of us agreed they were the worst eggs we’d ever had. A table that was seated after us was served before us too, which seemed odd. I also had a chai latte, which was actually very tasty."

Great food, recommend the sharer platter though there was a lot of bread. The chicken and the fish were both really good!

A brilliant evening with delicious, seasonal food and fantastic service to match. Special thanks to Clare for being some welcoming and taking such great care of us.

Surprisingly good. You might have low expectations when a restaurant has a captive audience, but this place does good quality fresh food, that's reasonably priced. Very friendly staff too.

Ballihoo was a hidden gem. Food was fantastic. Prices are on the slightly higher side but we'll worth it. We dined in on a Sunday and had the pizzas from the outside pizza oven as a takeaway on another night. Couldn't fault it.

We had a fabulous 50th birthday evening meal where, between the 10 of us, we sampled everything on the menu (including some fine wines). The chef and serving staff really know their onions. An excellent facility. We’ve since been back for brunch and it’s been another fabulous aspect to a wonderful holiday at Lower Mill Estate in the Cotswolds.

We received such a warm welcome from the lovely friendly staff, we were offered our choice of dining inside or alfresco, both super stylish relaxed. The menu has something for everyone, including Vege Vegan, but still Chef Matt went above and beyond by significantly tailoring a main course for a family member and then adding a whole new dessert item for a few of us hugely appreciated. We really could not have been looked after any better for dinner, so we'll be back for Breakfasts and lunches too !

My friends and I had an absolutely lovely time here for food, celebrating a hen. The food was stunning, lots of choice I had the cheeseburger which I highly recommend. Table service is great, the staff are really helpful and attentive. I (think) Sarah was the lovely blonde lady who made our time more special, she organised a celebration plate with brownies and a candle for my friend, it was a complete surprise and we all really appreciated it. The surroundings are gorgeous, the decor is modern with a boho vibe so pretty. They also have a little shop area inside for essentials such as washing tablets etc. And fridge essentials. The whole area is absolutely stunning, and this restaurant is the...

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
