"I recently dined at the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. I couldn't find fault with anything. The restaurant had ample seating and we did not feel rushed at all. Our dinner was served promptly and the quality of the food was excellent. I highly recommend trying their Butter Chicken and Jalfrezi dishes. The service was top-notch and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The price per person was in the range of £20-£30. The best part was that there was plenty of parking available, and it was free to park in the parking lot."

"Limited menu but decided to go because steak was listed on the on line menu. The menu in the restaurant did not include steak. We were told that would not be available until later in the month. At the bar we were greeted by a...row several handpumps with the pump clips turned round. Two real ales were available. The quality of the IPA I opted for was questionable. The member of staff stated that there were delays on supply of some of the drinks. This pub is almost next door to the brewery. The staff were friendly and doing their best in what seemed to me a poorly managed pub. The food we had was passable but far from deserving the stars plus given by previous reviews."

"I am so local at devizes that I was already at numerous places in the peppermill and it is definitely one of the places you can eat in the city. the restaurant is ideal for all types of meet, a few drinks, romantic dinners and with the garden... area even some al fresco cocktails and nibbles. recently they have another welcome supplement to their menu, the traditional afternoon tea! now I am a big fan of afternoon tea and that was one of the best I had. all foods on each level were made in the house and wonderfully fresh. the sandwiches in the classic British combinations (wiltshire ham and slender, smoked salmon, ice, gurke and cream cheese) were delicious. the skorn was just the right mix of sturdy (to add to the toppings) and crispy to eat, served with generous amounts of cream and celestial jam. I know strawberry is the usual, but they were very helpful to take allergies and gave us celestial jam. the real highlight, although we are the cakes and baked, all made fresh before spot. a lemon meringue tea, a lot of makkarons, incredible choux bakeries (small and chocolate orange), but a special scream from the carrot cake. it was incredibly light and if I hadn't kept an eye on my other half, she would have eaten my piece pretty happy! I would highly recommend the peppermill afternoon tea (and only generally for eating) so especially if it is a nice day to get this feeling of start and enjoy it outside. if they don't drive anywhere, they also take a naughty pina colada, as it is worth trying to completely embrace the summer vibe."

"I have heard that the lease for the Raven restaurant is up for sale. I am not surprised, as the menu has hardly changed in two years. The options are limited, especially for those who are pescetarian. I used to enjoy dining at our local pub on Saturday evenings when Sue and Philip were the landlords, and even more so when Natalie and Jerry were there. Unfortunately, the quality has declined since then. After not visiting for nearly a year, I reluctantly booked a table about a month ago and chose the Fish and Chips from the limited menu. The dish that arrived had more batter than fish and seemed to have been in the freezer for a while. I brought this to the attention of the waitress, who agreed that it was not up to standard. After a 10-minute wait, a fresh meal was served, which was acceptable. I wonder why the first dish was so disappointing. I hope that the Raven can return to the pub that we once knew and loved. In the meantime, we will explore other local pubs for a meal on Saturday evenings, as there are better menus available than at the Raven. I look forward to seeing improvements at the Raven in the future."

"Was v much looking forward to a couples lunch before the children finished school for the summer. We walked with two dogs and sat outside. We have always had excellent service; so friendly and attentive. Waited for menus or to be greeted with a drinks order but nothing! Gave up and ordered inside. Very slow service but goid excellent. No one took any furthur drinks orders nor asked us about the food. No water for our dogs. Other people waited for ages outside also being ignored. Won't return, wish I'd spent £55 elsewhere. Service was most definitely without a smile"
