we first divorced here in a few years and were in a hurry to visit a festival event. we had 7 starters between four and young it was good. the food was superb: well presented; spiced on perfection and tasted beautiful. service was...smooth, friendly and efficient. great job

wonderful hotel in the heart of historic devizes. great personal, fantastic room (8 second floor) with view of the front (very quiet) and beautifully decorated restaurant. we celebrated the return of our life from three months in the country and could not have chosen a lover place to gather our family

on May 27 we had our high-time reception in the functional room in peppermill. it is a beautiful environment that was eating exceptional and it was absolutely perfect! they offer a personal service and the customer interaction is in second to none, the friendliness, the...king and the top and beyond the hire is truly unique. thanks for the reason of our hearts.

We visited this Restaurant for Dinner during our stay in Wiltshire. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who showed us to our table. Shortly after we had placed our order we were served our Drinks, followed shortly by our Food. The food was...delicious and well cooked. We would have no hesitation to visit this Restaurant again in future even though it was a little pricy.

We have eaten here many times and the food is always a delight. This visit didn’t disappoint in terms of food quality. The only criticism on this particular evening was the slow arrival of the olives and bread we ordered. Serving staff were polite and...friendly but I wonder if they need more staff in the kitchen to speed things along a bit. I had the sea bass main course and this was nicely presented and beautifully cooked.

The quality of the food was excellent, but after a 3 course meal we were all still hungry. 3 of the 4 of us had the sea bass, all of which had 3 very small potatoes. This is fine if there was a 4th course....So if you are trying to enter fine dinning, you need more courses. GF starter options was 1, which isn’t great. Service was not great, but just about ok. So all in all, we may go back for the quality of food, but only for lunch.

Excellent food beautifully prepared. An attractive setting in an hotel, reasonable prices for the quality and a pleasant crew. A slow start as an hour lapsed before nibbles arrived and later a first course which curiously only one member at our table selected. We politely...asked a crew member to bring on the main event a little more speedily which worked. Upon arrival of the bill they kindly removed the price of the nibbles in recognition of the slow service this evening. What I don't like is the pretentious imposition of a 10% service charge.

Had a one nights stay to attend an occasion. Beautiful room, room 8, loads of space and just could not fault it at all! The bed was so comfortable, bedding top quality, huge shower, everything you could wish for in a place to stay. the...staff were so lovely too. we said we had one of the nicest breakfast's ever! perfect poached eggs, proper fresh orange juice and liked the little tea pots for our tea. Also was the best sausage had before! obviously use a good local butcher. we will return when another family occasion in Devizes. on another note Devizes is a really pretty town to visit.

I am so local at devizes that I was already at numerous places in the peppermill and it is definitely one of the places you can eat in the city. the restaurant is ideal for all types of meet, a few drinks, romantic dinners and with the garden... area even some al fresco cocktails and nibbles. recently they have another welcome supplement to their menu, the traditional afternoon tea! now I am a big fan of afternoon tea and that was one of the best I had. all foods on each level were made in the house and wonderfully fresh. the sandwiches in the classic British combinations (wiltshire ham and slender, smoked salmon, ice, gurke and cream cheese) were delicious. the skorn was just the right mix...
