"Seems to be going downhill which is a real shame. We visited yesterday and the service was appalling. Our meals were pretty much thrown down on the table and the waitress walked away. There was an empty glass right in front of her nose, but no offer of getting another drink. We flagged down another waitress to ask for salt, sauce and drinks. She didn’t seem interested either. Our drinks arrived 10 minutes later but went to the table next to us. When the guests explained that they didn’t order them, the waiter took them away. He didn’t check to see if they were for anyone else. We again flagged down a grumpy waitress to explain the situation and she reordered the drinks. Another 5 minutes and they arrived. The waitress said she’d put through a large coke rather than a small and hoped that “would be ok”. She knew she had made a mistake but there was no attempt to rectify it or apologise. Coke costs pennies so why not just charge us for a small? We were too thirsty to make a big deal out of it. The food was ok, not that anyone checked. It could have been awful and nobody would know. The chips were majorly over cooked and the roast barely had any gravy though. At no point did we see a manager so no wonder the standards are so poor. We had to go to the bar to pay the bill as the usual card machine apparently wasn’t working. Again, nobody was interested if we’d had a good meal or not. When we left we walked past no less than threes waitresses and none of them said thank you or goodbye. We’ve been going here for years, but I don’t think we’ll go again now. Such a shame."

"Im very disappointed with the afternoon tea experience my family had today. We had pre-booked for 2:30 and arrived at exactly that time. We waited 50 minutes to even get a cup of tea. In that time we could barely have a conversation as the band was far too loud. We were actually looking forward to the band as we expected it to create an atmospheric background sound which would compliment the event but instead it was drowning. Several members of my family attempted to let the waiting staff know that we were unhappy with one saying 'it 's not my problem you need to speak to ........ when you leave ' after SHE asked us if everything was ok and we said 'NO '. The staff didn 't seem to know what they were doing to the extent where one family member didn 't even get her sandwiches and worse still they couldn 't rectify it and she went without. The cakes/scones were minuscule and definitely not worth the £13 per head we payed (in advance). We requested a second round of tea and were told that we would have to wait 30 minutes because we were at the back of the queue. How long does it take to poor some boiling water into the tea pots we had. We didn 't even want fresh pots or extra tea bags. Everyone knows you can use a teabag more than once. While the food wasn 't anything special, we wouldn 't have minded if we had received reasonable or even sympathetic service. The lady in charge just tried to make excuses for everything and showed no desire to put right the mistakes made by her staff. She blamed the long waiting times on her 'key waitress ' calling in sick and other parties coming in before their time also needing to be served. Surely the parties who were early would expect to wait until their slotted time while you served those who were in the right time slot?We feel that there was a clear lack of customer service and regretted paying in advance. Had we not already paid, we wouldn 't have stayed. We feel very let down as this could have been a great family afternoon as the barn itself was very pleasant."

"Having heard good things about the venue, I was looking forward to going there with friends. It started badly, no wine glasses behind the bar. Transpires they were upstairs. When we went to the table, 2 out of the 5 mains were not available and half starters were not either. The daily specials were the preferred option of a really limited menu. When the scallops arrived £11.50 for 3) whilst they were just cooked, they were tiny and all were very varied in size a number of us had them. No consistency in size at all, and not even 'queen ' size, more like 'toddler '. The salmon was main was the same, but nicely cooked. It 's annoying when half he table get in essence forced to opting for second or third choices, and then their being evident portion discrepancies, plus little in the way of veg. Other comments from friends were similar in relation to portion control, but the best was that they had 'run out of gravy, so sorry ' when it came to the cumberland sausage. Whilst the staff were young and trying hard, the delay on getting the food to table was long 30 for starters and another 45 between for main. This was topped off by being told at 8.45 that if we wanted desert we had to chose then, as the kitchen closed at 9. The main plates had only just been lifted. We were then told if you want any more drinks, the bar in restaurant was closing and we were welcome to stay but we would have to get our own drinks from downstairs. All a little shocking for somewhere where far more was expected and it left me wondering if the owner was Mr Clayton or whether the cantankerous legend of Roger Duggan had somehow been allowed to remain that night. Disappointed did not cover it."

"VIEW VIBE VALET The friends who invited us made a reservation well in advance. I don't know if they requested a terrace table, but the view was EXCELLENT! As soon as we drove in and saw the banner stating the best cocktails in Burbank we were happy to accept the challenge. Truth be told, the cocktails were so excellent I wished they were taller. The view here is exceptional, especially during sunset. Not only do you have a romantic one of a kind view of Burbank, but you can also see planes from Burbank Airport landing and taking off from one of the shortest runways in the world in the distance. As soon as we entered we felt the establishment had curated the entire restaurant to take in the views, but there's a lot of nice detail to admire on the way to your seats, especially the lighting in and around the bar area. We did valet for which was great for that old Hollywood feeling. They do have non valet parking next to the valet. You just have to ask. The parking lot fills up pretty fast as people like to stay and linger and for good reason. The drinks, food, and music is energetic. We ordered a cheese board for the table, which was great for small talk grazing. I ordered a Caesar salad and asked for chicken to be added. It was quite delicious. The waiter was wonderful at suggesting drinks and dinner options. He was bright, energetic, and professional. I definitely feel like we'll come here again. "
