The staff at this restaurant were very friendly and the food was delicious. There is a great variety of dishes on the menu. I will definitely come back again when I am in the area.

Called in with my son en route to Dolgellau, having been to Wrexham to move some furniture. A very welcoming place with excellent service and great food. We had a ham sandwich and tuna panini both with salad and chips; really delicious and filling. Would highly recommend.

During our stay for work, we decided to dine at this restaurant. The food was excellent and reasonably priced at this charming little spot. We dined here three evenings in a row and each meal was consistently great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially when our group size grew to 13 on some nights. We could not fault the food or the service. We went on a Tuesday night evening and were surprised at how busy it was and there seemed to be lots of locals. There was only one member of staff serving who was constantly busy. He kept up with the service and we were quickly served and a credit to him. We ordered camembert and the olives as starter. Ham, egg and chips steak burger for main. Big portions and all clearly freshly cooked, which we could not fault. Highly recommend going.

Called in for a bite to eat and drinks while on a brief visit to Bala. Being mid afternoon we only wanted a sandwich for one of the children and and drinks for the adults, but decided to throw in a side of chips as shared nibbles. The young staff seated us and took our order, a sandwich arrived with a small portion of chips, after 20 mins we chased the drinks which appeared with an apology. It was only when we paid the bill and questioned if the chips on the side of the side was the chips we ordered they realised theyd forgotten them too and took them off the bill. While we was sat in the cafe the owner went out to get the shopping and walked back through with a couple of bags of McCain Oven...

We went for coffee and cake and TBF the friendly staff served us with nice coffee, green tea and chocolate cake so all good. We asked for gluten free cake, and the waitress said she 'd check the box. It turned out to be GF, so we had a slice. It was sweet for us but it was a perfectly nice piece of cake. I 'd always prefer a home baked cake when I go out for coffee and cake nowadays, but that 's just me. At just under £10 for 2x drinks and a slice of cake, it was reasonable value. I do need to say that the decor was tired and the toilet was exhausted . If you visit, you 'll know what I mean. Perhaps it 's time to buy a new doormat?
