Best freshly cooked breakfast anywhere very helpful and friendly staff all round very good

Visited here for food. Not an amazing selection of Vegan, but what is on the menu is tasty , well cooked and well presented. Staff behind the bar were really friendly.

Just went for food on a Sunday, very late afternoon, two very pleasant bar staff were working and it was a nice, friendly laid back atmosphere. We all enjoyed our food. Voir le carte

Good choice of food on the gluten free menu, their salt pepper chips and burgers are the best around. The staff are very knowledgeable of the GF menu and have taken extra care to make sure it is safe for me to eat.

Lovely place to stay, the staff were awesome. The lady on the breakfast was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was lovely too and so was the breakfast. Would very much recommend staying here. Only a five minute walk into the town. Very quiet and peaceful Voir le carte

I stayed with a friend in a twin room at the Wig and Horses. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. The location next to the river was great - not too noisy, but still close enough to walk home after a few drinks. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay at the Wig and Horses again if I had the opportunity.

I arrived at 9:30 looking to grab a drink, but there were no available seats inside the restaurant as it was set up for meals in the front and breakfast in the back. We were informed that we could sit outside instead. After waiting for 10 minutes, a table opened up for us inside, but then the lights went out in our section. This made us feel unwelcome and like an inconvenience. I was very disappointed, especially considering I have been visiting this pub for over 35 years.

We had a delightful stay at this wonderful hotel. We stayed for two nights, Sunday and Monday, and were impressed from the moment we arrived at the W&H. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the town center along the river. Dan was very helpful during check-in, informing us about parking and efficiently getting us settled in. Our room was beautifully decorated and modern, with a comfortable high-quality mattress. We were pleased to find plenty of tea bags, milk, and bottled water in the room. The breakfast was excellent, with delicious sausages and bacon, a variety of cereals, toast, jams, and more. Diane took great care of us during breakfast, and a housekeeping colleague even r...
