The Waggon And Horses

An improvement from when we last visited early in the year. The food was tasty and freshly cooked and the service was friendly. My only complaint is price of drinks. At nearly £6.00 a pint of lager it will keep the drinkers away

Steak was cooked perfectly and we really enjoyed all our food . Jo has excellent customers service skills and works tirelessly to achieve the best experience for the customer. She should be highly praised for going the extra mile.

Service very good. Food is what it is. Only popped in because of a 30 discount card and at that was about right. B had to get our own knives and forks condiments etc. had to mix and match as there where all sorts in each one. Such a shame as it has so much potential! Voir le carte

We had yet another lovely Sunday lunch at the Wagon&Horses Wombourne on Sunday 17th September. As always great prompt service from Jo who always makes us feel 'special '. Every Monday is always a really enjoyable evening with the quiz! It’s one of the best I’ve ever been to! The staff, Hayley and Sydney, are an absolute delight. It really is a highlight of my week. AND if you win you get a £25 voucher on food and drink, THEN second place get you 4 drinks tokens for certain beers or wines, our favourite as it’s the one we get most often is bonus 5 points for next week x

Treated my family here last night for double birthday celebration, can't praise it enough, staff were so nice, young man who looked after us was lovely, considering he was very busy as the place filled up, still smiley, took orders quickly, food was perfect,adults and little ones all happy! The two youngest love the little outdoor play area, so massive thank you for a lovely teatime! We will be back!!!! Voir le carte

The staff were really friendly and service was prompt. We had the Sunday roast which was ok and we would have expected a lot more than ok for the price. We wiped the highchair and the wipe ended up black. I think a deep clean is required. This was confirmed when we saw the state of the curtains from outside as we were returning to the car. All in all, the staff make this place. For the price though, we would have expected a much better quality meal.

Nice to have a pub where you can Grab a drink, great selection of foods and more important to be able to sit and talk to friends. So many places now have music blasting out which destroys the art of talking. Personally, I enjoy a good old natter!! We had a lovely evening, food arrived promptly and just what we expected. Evening was made that bit more special as we were looked after by Jo who made sure we had everything we needed and nothing too much problem together with a lovely big smile. Thank you Jo for looking after us and look forward to our next visit.

Booked a table on Friday night for 7pm. We were seated and the waitress took our orders. Sadly, that’s when our dining experience started to go wrong. After 20 minutes, our drinks still hadn’t arrived and we had to remind the waitress, who was so busy cleaning tables that she completely ignored us. When the drinks arrived, it was clear that the two bottles had been opened and left on the bar for some time, as the Chablis was luke warm. We asked the waitress for another bottle, only to be informed that they had “no more bottles downstairs”, and we had to request an ice bucket as one was not offered. Sadly, the wine was so warm that only the last glasses were anything near the correct temperat... Voir le carte
