"there are many restaurants in berlin that serve meat, but there does not seem to be many who serve qualitatiw high quality vegetarian dishes. arable is one that has many possibilities for the vegetarian. during our visit was the star which was available in a suppe, an salat and a main course with fishing. I ordered the latter. two pieces of fish were served besides sparingly with brown butter and cooked potato. my man ordered a hamburger who was good. the wine and beer menu had many good choices and we had no difficulty tapping water, something of the restaurants are unwilling to serve. the service was excellent prompt, professional, very friendly and spoke English. umspannwerk ost is a bit off the beaten path approx. 30 minutes from the potsdamer place where we were, but it was worth the trip. I recommend this restaurant."

This nice restaurant was near our hotel NH Alexanderplatz, we found it accidentally and were nicely surprised. We liked the idea of open kitchen where we could see how they preparing our duck and pork. Quality of food was really good.

we wanted to eat on Sunday, but unfortunately we were too late, so the next night we came back for drinks and a little bite. the waitress recognized us from the night before, which was really nice. we had the shrimp cup and. the cheese plate with white wine. everything was delicious!
