"Some of you may have noted my recent absence in writing reviews in English for families travelling in the Veneto and in Italy in general. I am back in the saddle and so must share a recent experience. At the Marian shrine of Cendrole beloved by Saint Pope Pius X, directly across the street is a wine cellar producer which in the dialect is Caneva, hence the name of the trattoria. In early May for lunch I took my son and a cousin to eat there. The food was excellent value as follows: bread, linen service, mineral or plain bottled water, wine (Cabernet Franc local), first plate, second plate, vegetable side dish, coffee and desert for 15 Euros a head. The first dishes were a choice of vegetable sauce fusilli, Bolognese pasta, lasagne... The second dishes included a fantastic rabbit stew with polenta... The vegetable side dish of cornet beans was one amongst many. I love being able to have vegetables as a side compared to ordinary salads restaurants are wont to provide. Dessert anyone? Oink, oink! Home made tiramisu ', strawberry cheesecake... The kids can run around outside on the shrine 's grounds while the parents rest their stomachs."

Lasagne : Pâtes feuilletées au bœuf, sauce tomate, ricotta et fromage fondant, cuites au four à la perfection dorée.

Délice italien onctueux avec des couches de mascarpone crémeux, biscuits imbibés de café et une touche de cacao.
Carpaccio
Carpaccio fin et savoureux de bœuf, assaisonné d'huile d'olive, citron, roquette fraîche et copeaux de parmesan.

Per pranzi veloci qui si va sul sicuro… alla sera non ho ancora provato ad andare ma se il buongiorno si vede dal mattino…

Ho pranzato un sabato, in un osteria vorrei trovare piatti da osteria! Non si può fare primi con panna e altro in estate! Un piatto con 3 fette di melone e4 di prosciutto e non eccelso, 12 euro! Scelta di piatti strani per un osteria! Menu a prezzo fisso, che paghi anche se non mangi completo! Cioè un primo e un secondo! 12 euro, un primo o un secondo 12 euro! In altri posti paghi in base ai piatti fino al prezzo del fisso! Deluso,, non ritornerò!
