Toby Carvery - Carte

Staff are very pleasant and attentive-food is typical Toby carvery-good value

We had a lovely meal and the waitress was lovely talking to my 3yr old granddaughter which she loved

I should not have ordered the beef because it was fatty and gristly as usual. Table 1 was dimly lit. The treacle sponge pudding was not satisfying, with lumpy custard. Voir le carte

Booked ages in advance. Cancelled on the day after receiving several reminder emails about our booking. Very poor, very disappointing to find out on the day whilst we were actually on the car park.

Even though I made a mistake with the booking, the restaurant quickly accommodated us and we, along with our grandchildren, enjoyed a delicious carvery meal. Thank you for the excellent food and service.

I was a weekly customer for six years, but stopped coming because the place was run down and the food and staff were inconsistent. I am happy to report that the upgrades and improved quality of food have impressed me, and I will definitely be returning. Voir le carte

The food and service were up to standard but I do like a decent pint of beer to wash the food down and the Doombar was down to the last pint and the Pedigree was off. I had the last pint of Doombar and that was a mistake, it did not taste nice. No other proper' beers on offer. Not good enough.

This is my fourth lunch at this restaurant in the last two months. The first three were very good and I was very satisfied with the food, service, etc. However, my last experience was completely unacceptable - the food was lukewarm, the beef was tough and overall unappetizing. I made a complaint and received an apology as well as a refund on the food. The staff also promised improvement, so I am willing to give them another chance in the future and hope to see a return to the previous standards.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a notice stating that due to delivery issues, mashed potatoes were unavailable. Despite the lack of customers, the staff appeared overwhelmed. We were seated at a table that had not been set and had to ask for utensils. Our reservation was for 8:00pm, but when the chef arrived to carve, there was only a small piece of beef left and not enough turkey for me. The pork was tasty, but the cauliflower was both hard and watery, and the beans were lukewarm. When it came time to pay, the Toby app was not working, so we could not receive our 40% discount.
