What a super little place this is. Lovely, polite and efficient staff and beautiful food. Much to be recommended, and we are looking forward to visiting again.

Easily my favourite Indian restaurant. A real southern Indian specialist restaurant. Our favourites are chicken 65, lamb niligiri and medu vada. Absolutely delicious

This was great food. The spices and flavours are amazing. Love it when you get both and the taste is like a good fine wine dazzling your taste buds. Well done. And an excellent value. Starters and mains with drinks. £37.50. What’s more to say.

From the door being opened for us and seated down, this restaurant does service and speciality on another level. The staff are so lovely, polite, know what is in the dishes and friendly, The food is nothing short of outstanding. This is better than indian food which i love but this restaurant takes it to another level. Absolutely loved it and came back again the next day for more. Try the Dosas....

I visited for the first time today for dinner with my partner and two children. We had already looked on here and decided we'd all try a Thali each but was informed these are only available Monday to Friday so we were abit disappointed however our food was all amazing. I ordered the butter chicken, my partner ordered a dosa with a tarka dhal, daughter ordered a tikka masala and son ordered a prawn puri with chips. Our first visit to Thira after hearing many great reviews .... and it definitely did not disappoint !! We loved it !! Food, service and ambience all really good and we will definitely be back. The menu here offers a really big selection and some really interesting dishes we`d never tried before or even seen on other Indian Restaurant menus. I had the scallop starter, which was delicious. There were clean plates all round at the end of our meal and it looked to be the same on all the other tables. Highly recommended.

Had a takeaway from here and it was so good. I love Indian food and think this is my new favourite place. There are dishes on the menu that I’ve not heard of before and can’t wait to try them. I hadn’t had a masala dosa before and it was delicious, really light and tasty. Would recommend the seek kebab and the king fish. Also really lovely parathas, not greasy at all. Ordered the chicken tikka masala for my little boy and it was so much better than your average tikka masala. They should be very proud of their chefs! Excellent.

My visits to see my elderly parents in Blackburn have in the past couple of years been enhanced by visits to this simple lovely restaurant. It feels out of place surrounded by take aways offering processed foods such as Kebab and Burger, or fried chicken. On 20th December 23 my partner and I took a table and enjoyed the most flavoursome peppery Rasam followed by Prawn and Mango curry, Brinjal Masala, a thin King Fish steak packed with flavour, some Appam and Rice. This was my fourth experience of Thira (other than visiting Santorini! . On each visit the waiters and waitresses have been as friendly and efficient as the food is exquisite and tasty.
