"I'm sure the food at this restaurant would have been lovely, but unfortunately our experience was cut short due to the unfriendly owner who reminded us of Basil Fawlty. We were a multi-generational family of 7 celebrating our oldest grandson's acceptance to university. When we tried to order a beer for him, the waitress asked for proof of age and informed us of the policy not to serve alcohol to anyone under 18. Despite our explanation and legal information provided by my son, the owner refused to make an exception. His dismissive and rude attitude led us to leave and dine at the Courtyard across the road instead. The Courtyard accommodated us graciously and served us a fantastic meal. We will not be returning to the Waterfront, but will definitely visit Kenmore and the Courtyard in the future. The owner should consider being more friendly and accommodating towards customers, especially in a competitive hospitality industry."

We had all the family for a weekend at Kenmore and had our anniversary dinner here. The food was great and the staff friendly. And it's in a lovely spot by the loch.

The food was decent, but not outstanding. The kids' cheesy garlic bread came with a slice of processed cheese on top, which was a bit disappointing. It was standard pub fare, but I expected a little more for the price. On a positive note, the staff were friendly, and the views were lovely.

During our stay at The Kenmore Club, we dined at the restaurant on the evenings it was open. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Heather, the owner, was a gracious host and took care of her staff as well. They all worked together as a cohesive team. The dishes were served hot, presented beautifully, and tasted delicious. We only had starters and main courses, but we were very satisfied. Thanks to Heather, her team, and the kitchen staff for a wonderful dining experience.

We were staying at Mains of Taymouth and chose to celebrate my birthday with dinner at the Waterfront, which has a beautiful view of Loch Tay. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The menu offered a diverse range of dishes, including gluten-free options, as well as a kids’ menu. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I appreciate the staff for bringing out a candle in my Sticky Toffee pudding and singing Happy Birthday! I recommend making a reservation well in advance, especially for larger groups.

We stayed at the Kenmore Club at the beginning of August and decided to dine at the restaurant upon our arrival after a 400-mile journey. We were so impressed that we ended up booking two more evenings at the restaurant. One member of our group has food intolerances, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate him as much as they could. The food was well-prepared and delicious, and the waitresses were friendly and incredibly efficient. If it weren't for the distance, we would definitely make dining here a regular occurrence. I made a reservation at this restaurant as part of the celebration for my husband's 70th birthday, and I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the staff were not particularly friendly. The server seemed rushed throughout our meal, creating a sense of hurry that detracted from our experience. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, yet some staff members were wearing their jackets and cleaning up as if they were eager to leave. We’re planning to return to this area next year, but I think we'll skip this restaurant on our next visit.

Family meal during our holiday, eleven of us arrived and were warmly welcomed and seated. I was warned beforehand about live music and had concerns as some of the family would potentially have concerns with this, but it was a solo singer with a guitar who was very good. Meal was delicious, we didn’t bother with starters but between us had burgers, fish, scampi sea trout and a gluten free stroganoff. Everyone enjoyed their food plates emptied for the most part. Cocktails were great too. Service was warm and very good lovely atmosphere and beautiful setting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any one , they also had an extensive gluten free menu.

"This place has all the potential for a 5 star experience and you may well have it by going here! Unfortunately, we did not and it's worth explaining why. For context, we didn't stay overnight just had a meal in the restaurant one night and went to the beer garden another. Restaurant: Food was generally very good and prices reasonable. I'd especially recommend the tempura chard if it's on the menu! The setting of the restaurant is also lovely. However, we ended up waiting about an hour between starters and main meal 2 people . We were advised approx 40 minutes into the wait that one of the mains was no longer available and a substitute would be provided there was some gnocchi improvised from potato mash involved. Service were on top of this though and did remove this item from the bill. So in summary, good elements involved but a couple areas that could do with attention. Beer garden: We went along to the beer garden to catch the rugby world cup final. This was sadly quite a disappointing experience that ended up with the limited attendance clearing out before half time . In short, coverage only started after national anthems. No sound other than via headphones ?? , which didn't work ?! . Pizzas were pretty tasty but the cheese was stringy as a ball of yarn positive with no cutlery or tissues provided negative . And at c. £16 per pizza, felt a bit cheated by the whole experience. The rooms themselves look lovely and I'm sure on a summer's day if you're looking to enjoy some drinks and a bit of food in a lovely setting, the Taybank probably covers exactly what you're looking for! They also run a traditional music session in the main bar on a Thursday evening, which is absolutely worth checking out! But I'm afraid for us, it's unlikely we would rush back for anything other than that."
