"Central Coffee House in Northallerton serves the best coffee in town, without a doubt. If you are a fan of quality coffee, I suggest avoiding the chain cafes on the main street and heading straight to this local, family-owned establishment. The service is friendly and personalized, and the coffee is truly outstanding. As someone who has frequented many coffee shops in London, I was impressed to find this gem that rivals my favorite spots in the capital but with even better service. I also grabbed a scone and brownie to go, both of which were freshly baked on site and delicious."

"Oh my goodness, I can't believe I haven't been here before! The staff, especially Laura, were fantastic. We started with a generous cheese platter and three dips. The hot BBQ ribs were incredible, perfectly seasoned and tender. I even got to try a sample of their hot sauce, which was a nice touch. My wife had the pulled pork and curly fries, which were also delicious. The food was well-prepared and the service was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful evening."

"I had the vegan aubergine schnitzel with new potatoes, rocket, pickled onions, capers, dill and oat milk dressing, and it was really lovely. Light and fresh but satisfying. I’ll definitely have it again. My carnivore father couldn’t believe how pretty and colorful it looked They offer oat or soy milk with coffee, though there are lots of speciality teas to choose from. They also offer a vegan club sandwich with red pepper and mushroom, vegan soup (lentil and sweet potato the day I visited), avocado toast, spinach and avocado salad, and a handful of vegan side dishes. There are lots of vegetarian options. Most people come for the pastries and afternoon tea, which are vegetarian not vegan. The only vegan cake listed on the menu is a carrot gugelhupf, which looked good. Would have liked to have seen more vegan cakes/desserts as they are easy to offer."

"I recently had a wonderful meal with friends at this restaurant between Christmas and New Year. Although we missed out on the set menu, we were still able to choose from the restaurant menu as well as the bar menu. I appreciated the variety of options available for dining within the pub. I started with the seafood platter, which included crayfish cocktail, mackerel pate, smoked salmon, langoustines, and bread. The dish was delicious and my friend and I both enjoyed it. For my main course, I opted for the seabass fillet with garlic new potatoes, braised fennel, peas, and lemon butter. The combination of flavors was exceptional and the potatoes and fish were cooked perfectly. I ended the meal with the dark chocolate torte and Chantilly cream, a rich dessert that was not overly sweet. Though it was a challenge to finish, a glass of port helped me through. I also enjoyed a bottle of house white wine that paired well with my seafood dishes. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in the area."

"If you are looking for relaxed Italian fare in a friendly atmosphere which delivers every time then this is a good option. We appreciate the pizzas so much that we have returned to enjoy them repeatedly. We feel we are being treated like 'old customers ' in a welcome way very quickly and for us the flexibility of eating times suits our preferences. The set menu options are fun and offer the chance to combine an interesting and tasty range of starters with a pizza. pasta or meal. Well done on that creativity. We are still working our way through the menu but would so far especially recommend the salmon fetta starter. Pizzas are tasty and the bases are light and moist. Side salad generous and fresh with a flavoursome dressing. Good Italian coffee to finish works well. Variety and value for money are two key things here."
