love this pub. a real village pub with excellent, well picked beer on tap.

there are six pubs in ripley. that is the unreconstructed 19th century. worth a visit. bier is good. I'm coming. Voir le carte

Lovely visit to The Talbot Inn for the weekend, lovely friendly staff, the food and accommodation was really good and service was just right.

Quaint small pub, was told Eric Clapton used it as a regular haunt in his alcoholic days and general Nelson used it as a layover on his way to Portsmouth, can't validate any of it but the beer is chilled so that should be worth something

the personal was polite, but not particularly attentive. the food was well seasoned, but the bark was very hard and there was no chicken, so perhaps only a order / delivery on the day. I enjoyed past visits so hope that this was only a free day Voir le carte

great village local, friendly reception with great selection of real ales in first class condition (colin prison) with harry the chef his dame steering the ship socialize with the regular. Always enjoy my rare visits that have lived many years ago. I look forward to my next trip!

a jewel of a good old fashion pubs! warm greeted by the renter and the locals drinking there, met later, again very friendly. if they are looking for a gastro-pub, this is probably not for them, but if they want a drink in a big pub with atmosphere and friendly locals, then they don't see further, highly recommended.

more interesting place eat ok, but nothing special. they didn't know we had to book Christmas specifically, but after the talk with the cook said they could offer the main course. plentiful but truthahn roll tasteless like the gravur, veggies overcooked, although kartoffeln ok. beautiful place to meet friends so it was not important.
