"Have just visited the restaurant with two friends for lunch. I am saddened to say that although the pub has recently been refurbished the food and service remained very much the same. I ordered chicken and chips from the 2 course lunch menu, the chicken breast was very small and so over cooked it was virtually inedible. The only reason I didn't complain is for two reasons firstly my two friends had their meals which we had waited an age for) and if mine was replaced they would have long finished theirs before i got mine again and secondly I have complained in there before and the staff become very hostile. The staff really didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing and when they sort help, the supervisor didn't appear very happy to assist them . All in all a very disappointing experience which I won't be repeating."

Major refurbishment in side. It's a little dark in places all the furniture has been reupholstered with decorating though out manly in green and black down in the bar. With new tiled mens toilets. The bad side is the vegetarian meau has got smaller

Haven't been here for a number of years, but have to leave a review for today's visit. The food was excellent, and my mixed grill was done to perfection. The real ale on draught was excellent. We will be back as soon as the refurbishment is completed in a few weeks! Thankyou.

For Sunday Lunch don't forget to log your parked car on the handy computer. Try and remember all the orders of your guests for starters, mains and puddings for when you go to the bar to order your entire meal, or you can ignore the staff and order on your phone from the table. The beef rib is 30% fat and bone if you like that sort of thing. The chicken is a leg with no breast meat.

I had visited this establishment to attend a wake for a friend who passed away. The bar and spaces inside were lovely, busy and overall a place you would think to find out in the country side not in the middle of a town or city. Food was nice enough, drink service was good and the staff friendly. Then a few weeks after I left a letter appeared, a parking change notice. I had not paid to park in the pub car park. Now I'm expected to pay for visiting the establishment! I'll not be going back, plenty of other public houses around.

The food was nice and well priced, but service was lacking. We made a booking, but when we arrived it was hard to find a member of staff as everyone was busy. Eventually stopped someone who then went to ask and were finally seated. We were unfortunately seated in the busiest part of the restaurant and then moved ourselves to a quieter part. We ordered from the app although were not advised if it was table service or not, but then the drinks we ordered never arrived (although food did). We asked the server about the drinks and he to the bar and came back to advise they were out of the prosecco we ordered on the app. He appologised and gave us a different bottle which was cheaper.
