I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant with excellent local draft beer, a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly staff. The service was top-notch, receiving a rating of 5 out of 5.

Used this as a pub stopover in our motorhome. Would highly recommend for that alone, although the Sunday lunch was very nice and possibly the best roast potatoes ever Lovely attentive staff chatty and professional Would not hesitate to recommend

The gluten free Fish and Chips were phenomenal! The chef is fantastic and is very knowledgeable about different dietary restrictions. The restaurant has a charming garden, friendly staff, and serves exceptionally fresh food. We will definitely return. Rating: 5 out of 5. Voir le carte

A lovely friendly landlady named Amy greeted us and was very friendly. Stopped for drinks after a walk. Reasonable prices on drinks. Ordered food a couple of nights later, was all made fresh and was delicious. Would be back again, great place. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Kid-friendly

Ordered a fish and chips for £16.50 which was disgusting, basically a tiny bit of pollock encased in a massive greasy batter scab. The pizza was basically a Chicago town with a bit of extra cheese on and came out barely warm. So with 3 pints rhos somehow came to £47! Honestly the most I've ever paid for such disgusting food. Unfortunately, my recent visit to The Swan was an absolute let-down. The food lacked flavour and was overall appalling. To give you an idea of the quality, the bread rolls were so stale they could have passed for rocks. Despite the obvious shortcomings, they had the audacity to charge full price, showing no concern whatsoever for the quality of their offerings. I would strongly recommend steering clear of this establishment.

Travelling down the A34 we booked a table for Sunday lunch to break the journey down from Oxford to the New Forrest, especially as we were traveling with our dog. The welcome we received was excellent and although we were the only diners, I could not understand why! The food was excellent, my brie starter came with cranberries walnuts, was well presented and was exactly as stated, crispy brie wedges. Our main courses were spot on, beef pink in the middle, but with no blood running out on the plate and very tender. Good selection of vegetables too. Well, it’s a very different take on a business management style I suppose. But then, thankfully, we’re all individuals with our beliefs, opinions and what options are available and choose Crack on there pal, you do it your way if you want!
