Don't be deceived by the exterior.... This is not normal pub food! The grub here is insanely good from the black treacle based bread through to the mains. Had the cod and ox cheek for the latter which were both outstanding. Only niggles chocolate mouse was more of a sauce. Shame the fire wasn't on, or candles on the tables for ambiance. Some of the best grub in the city here awaits.

Went to Star and Dove for the first time since it changed hands. Food was delicious and a lot more accessible in terms of price point and palette.Had the ribs which were proper meaty, fries were crisp and tasty. The pub is clearly still finding it's feet after new owners, but it's still lovely and cozy and has a great atmosphere. Really looking forward to seeing what's to come down the future. Voir le carte
