Lovely food but poor service. Waitress was unwelcoming and made it feel like every request was unreasonable. Wait time 35 mins for main course.

I had another excellent meal at this restaurant. The food combinations were delicious and unique. I would highly recommend it. The service was also fantastic. Thank you.

Once again, I am amazed by the quality of the food at this restaurant. It truly offers the best roast in Bristol. It is truly disheartening to hear that it will be closing down.

This was our second visit here (we'd been meaning to go back after having had an excellent meal there before) and it did not disappoint! The food and the service was absolutely fantastic!

Had a really great time. I'm a local who's only ever stopped by for drinks before now. But went in for a Saturday lunchtime dinner with my parents leading up to Xmas. The food was exceptional and a good value!

This was my first time to have dinner at the Star Dove. The restaurant is very nice although I was surprised it wasn’t busier given it was so close to Christmas. The menu is extensive and innovative. The steak was excellent and cooked to perfection. I would definitely come again.

Absolutely banging roast, decent beers and a nice pub but a bit quiet?? Also, although our order arrived perfectly I overheard a few errors with other people’s. Would of benefitted from being a bit more atmospheric but a lovely building and as I say, the roast was one of the best I’ve had in Bristol.

We had an amazing lunch at The Star and Dove. The food was outstanding, with fresh and flavorful dishes from the starters to desserts. We highly recommend this experience. The staff at the charming pub/restaurant made us feel very welcome, even allowing our large dog to join us. After our meal, we went for a walk in the conveniently located park next to The Star and Dove. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem that should not be missed!

A truly wonderful meal with fantastic service. My husband and I were returning to celebrate 10 years since our first date at the same pub. Thanks to the warm welcome and delicious food, we were not disappointed. My husband said that his crab starter was one of the best crab dishes he had ever had. Down to a small confusion over my main choice we had the chance to sample 3 of the main dishes and each one was superb. The chef can really make delicious sauces! We were so sorry to hear that the couple who run this fantastic venue were not renewing their lease in a couple of months as Totterdown will be poorer for it.
