"Food was chronic, even the coffee and lemonade was not nice. Filled croissants are supposed to be cooked not these they was filled with cheese and dry. Chips overcooked frozen disgusting things that tasted like they was cooked in old oil and cooked that much there was no filling left in the potatoes. Messed up money and no one was about when we wanted bill. Another couple were in at the same time and they was also complaining about how bad the food was."

What a fantastic place to have lunch or a coffee.. The homemade ice cream is the creamiest iv ever eaten . My husband has the cream tea... he swears by it . Highly recommend!!

Proper dog friendly country style tea room, situated in a lovely, quirky market town. Drinks cake after a lovely walk in local Hembury Woods. Served by friendly attentive staff. All ingredients were homemade, fresh tasty. Certainly worth a visit .........

We popped into The Singing Kettle whilst passing through on our way for a weekend stay in the area. We were kindly greeted, seated and served with a lovely pot of tea. We ordered the ham, egg and chips the ploughman’s lunch both very lovely. Thank you! We would highly recommend to others to visit :

`the cream tea was absolutely divine.. freshly baked with quite a wide choice of food. It was a bit noisy on our visit but who can help having a crying baby? Only 2 people were on staff and so service was slow but I 'm sure its not like that always.. Our new 'go to ' when we want a proper cream tea. Cream was locally sourced... absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this

Instead of getting the standard hotel breakfast we thought we'd try this place and were not disappointed. 3 of us had the blueberry bacon pancakes and they were lovely. Also the coffee was very good. It was so good we had some cake as well. The lunch menu also looked yummy. If we do come back to the area we will definitely eat here again. Staff and service was excellent.
