"We were staying at the nearby Haven holiday park and wanted a walk out. This pub was one of the nearest (about 0.7m). We called ahead to check it was dog friendly (it is), and booked a table. We were also told it was our night. There was a selection of pie’s along with a choice of veg, chips, mashed potatoes and you could pile as high as you wanted. It was absolutely lovely, the onion gravy was scrummy, as were the chunky chips and mushy peas. Based on this I bet they do a fabulous Sunday lunch also. The girls serving us in the restaurant area were also lovely."

Went for a meal last night and we were amazed at the extensive menu, the quality of the food and the price is absolutely incredible. The staff are very friendly and very obliging. It was a really lovely evening and we will definitely return.

We called here on a Sunday afternoon and all that was on offer food wise was a sunday carvery. Not our favourite, as they are rarely good and this was no exception. The food was ok but it was barely warm. The only hot part of the meal was the complimentary sponge pudding, which was lovely. Staff were very friendly though, and I would return, just not on a sunday.
