"I absolutely love this restaurant! We've visited twice and plan to go back tomorrow. Each time we're there, we feel welcomed and appreciated. It's been tough in Cornwall lately, with many places understaffed, busy, and under pressure from COVID regulations, leading to a lot of frustration. But not here! This restaurant has a cozy, warm, and friendly atmosphere, and, most importantly, the food is simply delicious! Everything is locally sourced and fresh, prepared thoughtfully to highlight its quality without overshadowing it. I also appreciate that they have Camel Valley Pinot Noir on the menu—a local sparkling wine I've been wanting to try since we moved to Looe. I highly recommend both the wine and the restaurant! It's truly a wonderful place with fantastic people!"

Amazing food and great service. The cod dish is amazing and we had some of the best mussels I’ve ever had!

Amazing food, went for the catch of the day, it was pricey, but worth it! Friendly and informative staff and the place was decorated nicely

Used their cafe not the restaurant. Fresh crab sandwich, made to order, was nice. Coffee was by Cornish Tea Coffee and was made well. Pleasant staff. Set in a quieter part of West Looe, making it a calmer place than East. Worth the walk.

great place, great service and excellent eating. sardines were fantastic as the appetizers we had (haaddock scotch ei wow). in view of some places with current personal shortage fought for 2 courses in 2.5 hours (copley arms,) the service here was prompt, but not over camp. highly recommended. This place was fully booked on our last visit to Looe, so this time we made sure to book in advance. So glad we did because it’s a lovely place overlooking East Looe with a delicious menu. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and added to the overall experience. There wasn’t a single dish we tried that wasn’t scrumptious. Will definitely come again on our next visit to Looe.

The dockside dining experience strikes a balance between smart-casual and fine dining. We remarked on how beautiful the setting was, and the service did not disappoint. In our group of three, we ordered haddock risotto, crab linguine, and a small portion of fresh sardines with chips. All the dishes were visually stunning and tasted incredible. It was a delightful meal overall. Our total for the three main dishes, two shared appetizers, two coffees, and two additional drinks came to just under £100.

"The crab was lovely however the lobster special was sadly anything but, grey, smelly and far too fishy! So very disappointed and sorry to be writing this review, I had such high hopes and have raved about this place before, so much so I was excited to get a table. It was just a last minute booking to take my daughter and her fiance out whilst they were visiting for the weekend, I've previously given a 5 star rating and been here a few times with friends and never had a bad experience. I've had the lobster before here too, so I had every confidence it would be lovely, sadly, it was not! Our server was lovely and he did ask if we enjoying the food early doors, my daughter was eating hers (she ordered the same) and I asked her how was hers and she seemed to be enjoying it! So I politely nodded and tried again, no it wasn't to be. I thought maybe I had a bad bit, so I tried once more and ended up spitting it discreetly into a napkin. I 100% appreciate I should have said something then and there, but it is such a small intimate restaurant and I just didn't want the fuss or to spoil the evening for everyone else! I didn't leave a tip, well just the minimal change as I was so disappointed. The whole experience for me was ruined. We all enjoyed the spiced crab starter and the red wine x2 and maybe if the lobster had been spiced I wouldn't have noticed and I tried to eat the pasta and prawns instead avoiding the lobster but eventually I gave up. We left without having a dessert as my daughter noticed I had pushed the lobster off to the side and was asking me what was wrong, I told her I had probably eaten too much crab and the lobster just didn't taste as nice. Her face said it all, oh my God, she said and then asked, do you think it was off looking at her empty plate and pulling a face ! Bless her, she can be very dramatic and I just wanted us all to go out for a nice evening, so I said No love, I'm sure it was fine. I'm just not feeling it tonight. The monkfish my son in law (to be) had was lovely and my other daughter who went for a veggie pasta option took hers home for later. The waiter as always is very professional, pleasant and kind but not even his charm could save the day. I knew it was not right and I suspect the persons or persons who cooked/served it knew too so why cause a scene. It may get me little respect, but I've joined the growing so called keyboard warrior crew by complaining online and in my own time. We went home and I made our own Affogato and a new version for my daughter with pistachio liqueur very nice they were too!"
