"Kind: My new Go-to Café This gem of a café, tucked away down a side street of Looe, is a must-visit if you're in the area! Gone are the days of checking which items are vegan! Craig, the chap who runs the café, is incredibly helpful and welcoming. The menu carries so much variety (and temptation), offering hot meals, healthy salads (except during winter), indulgent sundaes, and hearty desserts! There's even a shelf full of fantastic vegan cookbooks available to read, whilst you're munching some delicious cake! It really is a remarkable little café; one might even say it's...one of a Kind (sorry)"

"After spending nearly an hour trying to find somewhere serving food before 6pm, we found this place. Absolutely lovely meal at The Three Pilchards this afternoon. Cider battered fish and chips were cooked beautifully and the eggs were possibly some of the best duck eggs I've ever had! Service was friendly and prompt with a nice atmosphere Will definitely return and would recommend 100"

"we visited the old sail loft restaurant during our weekend in looe. it is in a very rustic old building, and also had a beautiful outside terrace area. unfortunately it rained during our visit, so we could not enjoy the outside area. we used their 2 course set menu, which was very good for £22 (at the time of writing). the duck parfait was raised and the hake kiew was also very tasty, even a little on the small side. service was also friendly. if they are looking for a delicious meal in a beautiful environment, then the old sail loft restaurant will surely tickle all the boxes in looe."

"Generic pub atmosphere... Wife and I visited Looe and called into what I like to call The Mucky Duck . The lovely woman who served us was also like a tourist information service. She came with dog treats for our little pooch and a bowl of water (but as it wasn 't taken from a muddy puddle, our dog wasn 't interested). The reason for not 5 stars is basically the atmosphere and decor. Modern with different shades of grey. Comfortable seating but nothing really to look around at. Nothing unique and could have been a pub anywhere. Would have been nice to have things that represented the beautiful area. Very clean, bordering sterile, lacking environment."

"This is not our first time at the Sea Kitchen, and even though we love its food we hadn't left a review before. However, our food last night was beyond excellent, and we couldn't avoid saying it. The meal was exquisite, delicate and gorgeous, so we can't stop talking about its delicious taste today. I am allergic to Shellfish and Molluscs and each time I return to the restaurant they always remember it and take lovely care of my dietary requirements. Thank you very much Issy and Max for such a beautiful evening. 100% recommended! "Great food. Great service. We ordered Regular Fish and Chips, and Pil Pil Prawns as a main course. Both excellent. The three choices of size of Fish and Chips was welcome as I am no longer a big eater but love my fish and chips. The regular size meal was ample for me. Can thoroughly recommend the Coddyshack. Two points to bear in mind though: firstly, booking is recommended and secondly, there may be a little wait for your food if they are extremely busy but, then again, good freshly cooked food is worth waiting for. Just have another drink! Update: 20/06/23. Unfortunately, due to a serious fire in May, The Coddy Shack has been closed for a major rebuild. Check out their website or social media pages for updates. Can't wait for them to be up and running again, serving great food."

"Gorgeous. The little beach huts keep you out of the sea breeze. Lovely food. Narrow road to get there, plenty of parking behind the cafe, pay and display and now portaloos in the car park which are easier to access than the now closed public loos. "I wasn’t hungry but The Sardine Factory was so inviting as we walked past that we had to stop in for a tasting. I’m glad we did. Reasonable prices and wonderful views of East Loone River. My favorite was the Fish Finger Tacos that were light and flavorful. The Cornish Sardines were perfect and the capers added just the right amount of saltiness. The Cornish Crab Mac cheese was great but I would have loved larger chunks of the crab. However, the flavors were excellent. My only issue was the restaurant’s floors that were tacky or sticky as though the floor cleaning solution may not have been completely cleared. "Food was not as expected My wife’s Sticky chicken was dry and tough (obviously reheated) so when she pointed this out politely and without making a fuss was promptly offered an alternative which she declined because that’s what she ordered and it should have been worth eating in the first place ! I must point out that the the lady serving was very nice and apologetic however was less impressed with the response from the person who gave us the bill who when I questioned about paying full price for that meal was promptly reminded that my wife refused a replacement and should have requested a price reduction before she printed off the bill and in full earshot of other diners which we didn’t appreciate ! However the bill was adjusted and we left the restaurant with the opinion that we would now not choose to return. "I visited this week with my partner and three young kids while on vacation in Looe, and we chose to eat at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making sure all our needs were met without being intrusive, and they were very polite. The food was absolutely delicious, and we all left feeling full. For a family of five, the meal was top-notch and satisfying, including drinks, and we spent just under £50. It was worth every penny. We even tipped the waiter and the chef because we were so impressed. If we ever return to Looe, we will definitely come back for food and drinks!"
