"As I mentioned on TripAdvisor, it's a shame that this excellent family country pub isn't locally owned. The lunch menu features a 6oz steak, delicious salmon, gammon, and more, accompanied by either chunky chips and salad or mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. Prices are very reasonable at £9.50, with a selection of starters for just £2 and desserts for only £3, if there’s room left. The tribute beer was well-kept, and the staff was attentive and friendly. The food was tasty and perfectly cooked. I believe the negative reviews from before were related to the previous management, but this place is truly fantastic."

Dogs and dining! Lovely pub with a special area for dogs while your dining. Fabulous Sunday roast and the Sea Bass was extremely well cooked.

This is a fantastic pub with friendly staff and incredible food (the legendary Sunday roast)! It even features a 30-foot deep focal point in the bar.

OMG the food was delicious, melt in the mouth chips, the fish and the steak was superb, and pudding was to die for. Also the staff were really nice and very helpful. Thank you and we will be back.

The atmosphere is fantastic, and the service is very friendly! The filet steak is absolutely incredible—it's the best I've ever tasted! I'm extremely impressed and would highly recommend this place!

We popped up for a roast lunch today....we loved it! The waitress was very attentive, the service prompt and the food delicious! Pub has a lovely atmosphere again, well done for bringing it back to life�. See you again soon!
