"As I mentioned on TripAdvisor, it's a shame that this excellent family country pub isn't locally owned. The lunch menu features a 6oz steak, delicious salmon, gammon, and more, accompanied by either chunky chips and salad or mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. Prices are very reasonable at £9.50, with a selection of starters for just £2 and desserts for only £3, if there’s room left. The tribute beer was well-kept, and the staff was attentive and friendly. The food was tasty and perfectly cooked. I believe the negative reviews from before were related to the previous management, but this place is truly fantastic."
