"Visited for the first time for a Sunday carvery. We are two vegans, one with a peanut allergy. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate, to ensure we knew what was suitable for us to eat and to make us feel comfortable. Our main was freshly prepared separately for us, and I was given my own allergy friendly tongues to use for the vegetables. The chef was very friendly and helpful, and we were not made to feel an inconvenience in any way (which can sometimes happen with dietary requirements at other restaurants! . Will definitely visit again :"

4 of us went for Christmas lunch, although a bit wary of how a carvery works for this many people I have to say it was excellent, well organised, beautiful food, excellent service, will definitely go again and can’t recommend enough

A carvery is a carvery, right? Well, maybe, but the Royal George cuts meat thicker than most, with excellent cauliflower cheese and all served with a smile. All drinks were served promptly and there was no overly-loud jukebox to stifle conversation. Voir le carte

Stopped in yesterday with friends to have some food…that was the first mistake that was made. Placed an order for the ‘chicken fries’ which was 5 chicken strips (that are either undercooked or overcooked…landlady is the chef apparently which is one of the many issues)...

Had a family Sunday lunch, 16 people (14 adults and 2 children) booking process was easy and was met by friendly and helpful staff, everything was explained and seating arrangements were flexible. Drinks and food was lovely with a great carvery. Only two criticisms, disabled...
